Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
There is heat on Ryback as there's been continued complaints about him being reckless in the ring. This is one of the reasons his pushes have been curtailed in the past year.
As noted, he gave Dolph Ziggler a concussion from a stiff clothesline at last night's Superstars taping. Word is that Ziggler's concussion is not a mild one.

Ryback really pisses me off. It's one thing to not give a damn, it's another to let that attitude hurt other people, especially in an environment such as wrestling where other people's safety is in your hands

WWE still trying with ADR
Who the hell takes this guy seriously anyway, i dont, not while he looks like the average joe with his shirt off. At least DB has ring work going for him, ADR has NOTHING and he's still pushed strong.

Yeh problem with Del Rio is he's too generic and he can't interact with the crowd properly.

WWE announced the following today:
"As of Jan. 8, Kaitlyn (Celeste Bonin) will no longer be under contract with WWE. The former Divas Champion has chosen to pursue other endeavors outside the sports-entertainment world. WWE wishes Kaitlyn the best in all her future endeavors."

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
There was a feeling backstage at Monday's Old School RAW that Jake Roberts is a lock for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame. No word yet if he will be brought in for the Royal Rumble but since he returned on RAW, it's less likely now.

A singles match between Mark Henry and Brock Lesnar likely won't happen. The feeling is that Henry was just used as a sacrifice to set up the program with Big Show.

Worst kept secret. What is "exiting" about this is that the network will be on the cloud. Glad to see the WWE going out of their comfort zone for a change.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
In an apparent response to Alberto Del Rio's earlier Twitter comments that we posted, Batista tweeted the following this morning:
"Seems 2 me that some C level stars in a B level star era have bought into their own hype. Don't turn a work into a shoot. #realitycheck"
Here's what Del Rio wrote, a reference to Batista's MMA debut in 2012:
"Really batista hahahahah. I'm the one wining all the major titles while u were getting ur ass kick by your plumber (Vince lucero) See u at the rumble. Like we say in #Mexico U can buy muscles but U can't buy Huevos cabron"

C level stars in a B level star era looks like the heat between them is real

Batista tweeted the following on Monday night during the CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns main event on RAW, an apparent reference to Reigns going down after taking a roundhouse kick from Punk towards the end of the match:
"Kicked in the head etiquette rule #1-when kicked in the head make sure to get your hair out of your face before you fall."
HHH will have a talk with him soon

PWInsider reports that Hulk Hogan has been spotted in Las Vegas over the last two days. There is no confirmation that he will be part of the WWE Network announcement tonight.

As noted earlier, Kaitlyn is done with WWE as of today. F4WOnline reports that the reason she left was there were a lot of storylines involving her that she was wanting or expecting that never came to fruition, and she essentially was just over it.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
"In 2011, I heard rumours about the owner of American wrestling company WWE, Vince McMahon, trying to buy Newcastle United," says Morten Hansen. "Is this true? I also heard that he had plans of moving one or two home fixtures to the States, and he wanted to showcase professional wrestling matches as half-time shows. Has there ever been other instances of owners who wanted to move home fixtures for a specific team to another place, or owners who wanted who wanted to promote his other companies in half-time shows"
It's hard to tell where the rumour linking Vince McMahon, the chairman of WWE described by the Mirror as "a bona fide, 110% certifiable maniac", with Newcastle came from, but it didn't take long to spread all over Twitter and start to creep in to the football news consciousness. The Newcastle Chronicle duly put the question to the club, but the official response was to brand the story "nonsense" and refuse to comment further. So the whole thing died almost as quickly as it had sprung in to life. And really, it's difficult to see how a rumour linking Sensible Mike Ashley's club with the man in charge of this sort of pantomime can ever have gained any traction.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
As noted, the WWE Network is currently listed at $9.99 per month with a "six month purchase." As of now, that will be the only price option but it's expected that WWE can and will change that as the Network evolves.
There will be some advertising and commercials on the Network as well as sponsorships for specific events.
One of the discussions among WWE talents privately is how pay-per-view bonuses will change with the Network launching, if at all.
While WWE will be showing all 12 live pay-per-view events on the Network, pay-per-views will still be available via cable and satellite TV.
