Stephanie McMahon announced on tonight's RAW that Randy Orton will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Title against John Cena at the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view from Pittsburgh. The match will have no stipulations and no interference, victory by pinfall or submission only, according to Stephanie. She called it a traditional championship match.

We also know that the Royal Rumble will feature the 30-man main event and Batista's first match since 2010.

Pretty obvious Bryan's going to use the Wyatt's then eventually turn on them. Maybe win the rumble with their help or something.

Or maybe Kane wants to help Bryan and Kane is part of the Wyatt's too. He joined the authority as a secret agent type thing. He told the Wyatt's to tell Bryan to join them. The 'machine' is the authority?

This could mean Bryan gets a more serious and intense character.

lol, dont try to come up with complex storylines, the WWE is tired of Bryan chants and they're turning him heel to cool him off, thats all. Plus now Lesnar and Batista are back there is no space for smaller guys anymore, just saying

One sad thing is Brock is No.1 contender or at least will be, which means Cena's probably going to knock off Randy for the WWE.WHC which kind of takes away some of Ortons credability imo

Man that Paul Hayman promo on Brock was pure gold, especially that line "you have a problem with Brock Lesnar, You lose to Brock Lesnar, and then Brock Lesnar forgets about it"

Im guessing we're gonna see Lesnar Batista for the title at Mania when Batista wins the rumble. Orton will find a way to win his title match and he'll lose it on Elimination Chamber to Lesnar and the two monsters face each other.

If Cena wins at Rumble then we'll get MOAR of him from now until mania.

Wait, is'nt the next PPV after Royal Rumble the Elimination Chamber? And since there is only one world title, the Elimination Chamber has to be the WWE title match since winner of Royal Rumble will get the title shot at Wrestlemania. Potential match:

Randy Orton vs John Cena vs Brock Lesnar vs Bray Wyatt vs Batista vs Daniel Bryan/CM Punk (assuming Punk/Bryan wins the Rumble)

Brock Lesnar is special. However or whenever he returns, it just makes everything 10 times better. Heyman's promo was GOLD. He was absolutely spot on as well. Brock Lesnar is better than anyone in the locker room. He needs no line. He is the line ffs

Cena Vs Orton at RR. No idea who is going to win that. So many possibilities. What i do know is that RR, EC and then WM will all be A+ PPVs with Batista, Lesnar, Cena, Orton, Punk, Undertaker, Bryan, Reigns, HHH maybe all involved.

Speaking of Bryan. It was coming. Wonder where this is going to go.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena was the current plan for the main event at WrestleMania XXX, however PWInsider reports that it's not the case.

Word going around WWE is that Cena vs. Wyatt was not something discussed recently.

The idea of doing that match came up over a month ago with the idea that Wyatt could win the Royal Rumble and challenge Cena for the title at WrestleMania XXX.

However, this storyline was mapped out before WWE made the decision to unify the titles at TLC, before they made Randy Orton champion and before the announcement of Batista's return.

There's now a feeling within WWE that Batista will win the Rumble and challenge whoever has the title at WrestleMania XXX.

This doesn't mean that we won't see Wyatt vs. Cena down the line, but most likely not at WrestleMania XXX as WWE has other plans for Cena at the big event.

Regarding speculation surrounding Steve Austin making an appearance at WrestleMania XXX, word is that if he does appear, it won't be as an active wrestler.

Austin has talked privately about working with CM Punk in the past but Punk is currently scheduled to face Triple H at WrestleMania XXX.

Word within WWE is that Austin has not been receptive to the idea of working a match this year, which given his age, may completely close the window on Austin ever wrestling again.

The Rock did another #RockTalk chat on Twitter this afternoon. A fan asked him if he would be returning for WrestleMania XXX. Rock says he, Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar had plans for a Rock vs. Brock match in 2014 but that won't be happening.

Rock added that there's a chance he will return for WrestleMania 31.
Rock tweeted:

"Between Vince, Brock & myself our Wrestlemania 30 plan was ROCK vs BROCK. No plans now for 30 but possibly WM 31. #RockTalk"

At one point, WWE wanted to do Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. No word yet if that match is still on the books but we should know after next week when Big Show is back on RAW.

Mark Henry apparently challenges Lesnar to a match this week on Smackdown.
