Re: Rumour Mill
Isn't Lavezzi a poor man's Hazard?
I kid, he's a good player but even if the report is supposed to make sense, he has no place on the squad

Diego Simeone wrote:"It will depend on him and what he thinks is the best for his future. I will support any decision he makes. It’s natural that Chelsea are interested in him. That makes me happy, because my aim and that of my coaching staff is to see our players improve."
"We understand that Chelsea have huge financial power and if he wants to live off football for the rest of his life, I will have no problem in him going. It was like Radamel Falcao, how could I tell him not to go to Monaco?"
"Samuel Eto’o has made Chelsea better. He is getting older and Diego Costa could do his thing there, but for now he is ours. He has room for improvement. He’s rebellious and I like that and he’s something different. Hopefully his development won’t end. Right now he’s among the candidates for the Ballon d’Or."

It sounds like as long as money is not a problem (which it isn't) Costa will be ours.

Re: Rumour Mill
Completely unrelated to Ramires today, as I wanted to post this yesterday but have you lot seen the Vidal rumours? It looks like a worthless piece of rumour but I sincerely hope its true that we're inquiring about him.
Much rather have him than Modric, tbh. And if by any chance in a blue moon it does happen.....lord gawd have mercy on this league with a Costa+Vidal addition to our team.

I'd take Vidal so quickly. He and Matic would be a GOAT midfield.

I think Videl wants to go to Real Madrid if he leaves Juve. On the other hand i think Pogba might be more attainable, i would tell Juve to name their price.

I think they will sell Pogba, because a club will offer crazy money for him. He is worth it to imo.

Re: Rumour Mill
Rumours saying we're going after Sevilla left back Moreno. Would much rather we go for Rodriguez of Wolfsburg, much more attacking and if we have Azpi at RB we'd have an outlet at LB through him.
Also Matic needs a reliable partner, whether that's van Ginkel or somebody that we sign I feel that with these 2 and obviously a striker we'd have league wrapped up next year.

Go to the summer transfer rumour thread, it is being discussed there.

Re: Rumour Mill
I very much doubt that Juventus would part ways with Vidal. If they actually were persuaded to sell him, I find it hard to see him going anywhere other than Real Madrid. Should part exchange come into the equation, Chelsea certainly wouldn't be able to muscle their way into the deal with Ramires though, that's certain. Juventus would probably ask for a wide attacker if negotiations were ever held.

Re: Rumour Mill
Do Madrid actually want him though? That's another issue.
Also, I hear Juventus is asking for €42m . Seems about his right value. I'd pay it.

Re: Rumour Mill
The majority of the speculation at Juventus throughout the season in the Italian media has centred around Pogba. Vidal is essentially assumed safe by the media. Whilst it may be argued that Madrid no longer need Vidal as in past windows, given their transfer history and their wish to keep a great player out of the hands of European rivals, as well as Ancelotti's great esteem for Vidal, it has to be assumed that should be truly be available, they'll jump in to compete.
As for a price, I personally think they'd ask for something along the lines of 30-40 million in addition to a non-elite but good young player they desire.
I personally would be looking for deals such as the one that Roma got for Strootman last year. A very reasonable sum for a young but exceptionally well rounded player who hadn't yet been consumed by the hype machine. Not to mention the saving on wages.

40m plus a rated young player would be too much imo
I don't suppose they'd fancy Ramires, then?

Re: Rumour Mill
If the club were content with investing further in the 3-5-2 system, Ramires might hold some weight, however they are likely to begin a transition to allow the squad to easily switch between 3-5-2 and 4-3-3, for which they need depth in attack, particularly on the wings. If any central midfielder is brought in, it is likely to be a creative alternative to Pirlo, perhaps one who can operate higher up the pitch. Even if Vidal leaves, Ramires is too similar to Asamoah who can simply be pulled in off the left to operate in the centre to be particularly tempting.
