Yes, it was, don't be butthurt. Sanchez completely fooled him and you can't just let players shoot from the edge of the box, it felt like Varane wasn't even there. And as I said Lopez was equally at fault.

it was all Lopezs fault but alexiss shot was very good so.

Ramos-Modric-Khedira must be one of the worst midfields i have seen for Madrid. I have no idea what Carlo was thinking there.

barcelona were comfortable for majority of the match. Wrong team selection and poor tactics by Madrid

it's a good and unexpected shoot from sanchez

i think the poor team selection came from the limited squad.  its clear carlo wants a more defensive minded player to anchor the midfield. khedira isnt that, illarra can be that, but hes not good enough defensively and is not experienced enough (in carlos opinion im assuming since he didnt start).  in the end carlo went with ramos and tbh ramos did okay but barca did very very well in the first half to break up any forward thinking possession that madrid attempted.

and bringing benz off of the bench was the right choice imo, i would have probably brought him on at half time but unfortunately it didnt happen.

Really unlucky by Benzema, great shot he got there tbh.

This. glad he didn't start makes everyone look at the teams problems, instead of focusing on him as the sole problem like usual

Chad, this team has gone one way and he has gone another. He would have sucked unbelievably hard had he started.

Maybe a year or two ago I'd just keep saying pass to him and run the team through him and what not, but now, we just don't have the players to do it. If he can find a role as a sub for the next year where he gets the ball, I'll be much more satisfied than having him as a starter who doesn't.

Yeah i agree when its 0-0 we mainly focus on cr and when we are losing we try to play more expansive which is just stupid but its been like that for years

I think Ancelotti showed he has balls when he played Ramos in Midfield.

Would ahve started Illara and Benz imo. Benzema was required because he does alot of that dirty work. Bale starting was really pointless. but great goal from Jese and Ronaldo really stepped up was pretty unlucky imo. Created chances and was unlucky not score himself

lots of people are saying we should have started benz in hindsight. benz has been awful for a month, being subbed into a match of this calibre was exactly what he needed.
