Thought Vidal was your best player. Llorente was pretty good too.
Marchisio was played at an advanced role where he isn't really comfortable at. Was one of your worst players. Pogba did well at times. Great part in the goal.

Re: UEFA Champions League : Real Madrid - Juventus // 23.10.2013
No, Marchisio did literally nothing. What was his position was he a CAM or RW? If he was the CAM why didn't he link the midfield to the attack? If he was a RW why didn't he do something on the wings he constantly kept drifting centrally when it was obvious Juve need width. And he didn't make any runs behind the defense or anything, his presence on the pitch was nowhere to be found. Benzema did more than him ffs.
The only role he is good at is playing alongside Pirlo, but it seems like Pogba has won that position.
Horrible performance from him considering Juve did well out there.
But, I guess since he's a Juve product it's fine.. right?

Red card was a farce, makes me sick watching the replays.
Our line up Vs Madrid should be
---------------------------------buffon--------------------------------
Caceres/Lic----Barz---------------------------Bonucci------Asamoah
---------------Vidal------------Pirlo--------------Pogba---------------
--------------Tevez------------Llorente----------Giovinco/Vuci--------

What Pogba did at our goal was amazing. Couldn't believe he could get the ball in and he almost scored
The penalty was clear, although not every referee would call it, but totally unneccessary by Chiellini. And Ronaldo is a diving c*nt.
We played well in the first half, but after the red RM just sat back and relaxed, and we were still able to create because of that. Can't really complain by our team performance, Marchisio was terrible imo but he played in a different position as RG said so can't really blame him.
The red card ruined this historically good match.

If Pogba and Vidal are staying long term, we should cash in on Marchisio
I'm sorry but he goes missing in big games way too much. Doesn't matter what position he was in he doesn't get involved at all. Nobody is expecting him to give a Ribery like performance in a new role. But everything about him was mediocre
Sell Marchisio, move Asa to CM cover and spend that 25-30m on a left winger, with menez coming in for free
Di Maria and Menez.

I think you guys should have kept Llorente and took off Marchisio. Llorente held up the ball really well and was good with 1-2's.
You guys should have sold Marchisio to Monaco.. TBH.

We may have missed our opportunity to sell Marchisio for max money this last summer. I fear he will be exposed by the end of this season.

I'm sure we'll still get 20M for him from some rich club light in midfield
He's still a very good midfielder, but Pogba is clearly the present and future right now
Taking Llorente off was a mistake, looked like his old self tonight.

Caceres was pretty good, but he was the one who got stuck in at the first goal if I recall well. Can't really blame him either though because he hasn't played for a long timeDeviAngel wrote:MOTM :

Marchisio ran more than any other player on the pitch. In the first half we was very good. After the red card he stayed back more and defended and that chance at the end, the camera showed a closeup of Marchisio afterwards and the guy looked like he was about to fall over he was so exhausted. He really gets no credit but he was good today.El Shaarawy wrote:Did Marchisio even start?M99 wrote:Even the cameraman did not bother to focus on him for one second.Casciavit wrote:Marchisio is horrible

Sorry but running your socks off without quality to back it up isn't good enough for me
We're Juventus, we should be working hard as a mandatory requirement. Marchisio ghosts through big games. It would hurt to see him go but with a formation change, Pogba taking his spot more and more each passing week and the fact that
---Vidal------Pogba------Marchisio--
Doesn't actually work, he has to go.

Marchisio didn't play good at all. But the thing is we have found our formation.
And switch Marchisio with Pogba. Why does conte play marchisio in an attacking position? He's a defensive midfielder
But he didn't play bad, not good but definitely not bad
Pogba gave the ball away cheaply, he should play in Marchisios position
Anyway, great game by Juve

Marchisio is world class and selling him would be a gigantic mistake. He has plenty of quality to back up his workrate. You think its a coincidence that when he went off against Fiorentina we went from 2-0 up to 4-2 down in a matter of minutes? He sacrifices himself for the team and thats what people dont understand. Scoring goals isnt the only thing that matters people.

I said he's a very good midfielder, but Pogba seems to be favoured and we're not rolling in oil money. We can't have a 20M+ asset roaming the bench whilst we have other positions which need quality injuventus101 wrote:Marchisio is world class and selling him would be a gigantic mistake. Let's look at the Fio goals
Penalty, marchisios absence not a factor
Buffon mistake. Again, not Marchisio-related.
then two goals when we go full out attack mode
Sure he MIGHT have helped. But he's definitely not some sort of defensive god holding our team together.

Hes tactically our smartest player. I think thats pretty much a consensus opinion too. Its obvious.
Then he goes off and directly afterwards Fiorentina scores 4 goals. You think thats a coincidence? Just because his direct replacement didnt make the mistakes that led to the goals dioesnt mean anything. With Marchisio on the pitch we are much more stable and also better at building up play in my opinion.

Guys, the reason we lost the match is chiellini.
1.Penalty caused by silly chiellini challenge
2. Unnecessary challenge by chiellini on ronaldo... why would he touch his face.. its football not faceball...

At least Milan will get out of there group, unlike you guys who couldn't even beat Kobenhaven or Gala . And let us not forget that we have an injury ridden squad and a tougher group yet we will probably qualify, your chances don't look too good tbh.elmystique wrote:the lolz it will be when Mehlan get knocked out of CL and fail to make top 3 in Serie A as well.... whilst Juve will be rocking it again next season so enjoy your last days in CL, next season s gonna be a long ride...Eivindo wrote:Juve wtf are you doing? You guys should be busy worrying about your Scudetto count and whether or not you'll put a 3rd star on your jersey rather than Europe, leave Europe for the big boys

Or maybe Buffon's blunder left the team in shock and there concentration levels went down and Fio took advantage of that?juventus101 wrote:Hes tactically our smartest player. I think thats pretty much a consensus opinion too. Its obvious.

Re: UEFA Champions League : Real Madrid - Juventus // 23.10.2013
Where does he fit in?
Pogba won't accept the bench for long term. And he's younger and more valuable.
Vidal's obviously untouchable.
When Pirlo goes, he can't just slot in to the midfield. Because that's a severly un-creative midfield.
So i'd rather sell him than bench him.
I think a front 3 with Menez and a new winger with Marchisios funds, plus Nainggolan would leave us with a much better team.
