Re: UEFA Champions League : Real Madrid - Juventus // 23.10.2013
Guys almost fficial from what I read its almost certain that we'll play 4-3-1-2 tomorrow ...
on today's training we played 4-3-1-2 like the one above even SKY reported the formation above followed by Zulliani and few media ... Let's see how it will work
18:20 - This morning, according to Sky Sports, the field of Atletico Madrid Conte has tried several times the back four with Caceres right back Chiellini will be moved to the left and in the middle of Barzagli and Bonucci. In midfield there will Vidal, Pirlo and Pogba. While Marchisio will be moved to the role of playmaker and in front of him will be the couple formed by Tevez and Llorente. Then Count melt any remaining doubts in the finishing of the morning. With the possible transition to 4-3-1-2 Asamoah would start from the bench.

Wouldnt it be better if Vidal or Pogba would play as AMF and Marchisio would play deeper and win balls in the midfield?

We've been playing with 3 man defense for years, the players need weeks to adapt to a 4 man backline, this won't end well (just take a look at Italy's NT matches)
Can't believe Conte is changing for this match. He should have done it against Copenhagen or Galata.

Have some faith bro
It's not a classic 4312 the back 4 are all cbs
It's actually really clever if you think about it
I won't be surprised if it turns into 352 with caceres coming up and Marchisio drifting to the left
And if you look at the midfield 31, it's basically just pirlo that will be fixed in the 3
Marchisio Vidal pogba will all be rotating between amf and cmf
Pirlo will have more than enough cover
The only bad point is unprotected wings, let's see

Re: UEFA Champions League : Real Madrid - Juventus // 23.10.2013
Juventus boss Antonio Conte is considering the use of a 4-3-1-2 system in this evening’s Champions League test at Real Madrid.
After the 4-2 defeat at Fiorentina on Sunday, the tactician is reportedly thinking about abandoning his 3-5-2 at the Bernabeu.
Uruguayan international Martin Caceres could be fielded at right-back after he returned from injury, with Giorgio Chiellini being pushed over to the left-back spot from his usual centre-back duties.
Claudio Marchisio, meanwhile, will be asked to play in a more advanced midfield role to support a tandem attack of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.
Juventus have picked up just two draws against FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray in the Champions League so far this term. Real have a 100 per cent record.
Juventus probable: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba; Marchisio; Tevez, Llorente.
Real Madrid probable: Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo; Khedira, Illarramendi, Modric; Di Maria, Benzema, Ronaldo

In FIFA 14 I'm not even kidding I play 4312 with Vidal as amf
I'm oddly optimistic about today's game.

I have a bad feeling too. Chiellini at LB has failed many times in the past. Caceres hasn't appeared in a match in months. The play on the flanks is going to be weak and everything will be coming through the middle. It may work just because it's something different, but I have some reservations.

-------------------------------Buffon----------------------------
Caceres--------Barzagli--------------Chiellini---------Ogbonna
----------Vidal---------------Pirlo-------------Pogba-------------
----------------Tevez------Llorente------Marchisio---------------
I like this
I think Ogbonna at LB will be better than Chiellini, and Bonucci isn't great in a back 4. Looks much better tbh.
Marchisio will probably play either TQ or as a 'forward' a role Prendelli put him in during the Confed cup.
He came on and got an assist. Looks like Conte himself knows 3-5-2 against opponents with 2 on each flank doesn't work.

Re: UEFA Champions League : Real Madrid - Juventus // 23.10.2013
Juventus change system to mirror Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid in the Champions League this evening.
It kicks off at the Bernabeu at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), as the Spaniards defend their 100 per cent record in the competition so far and Juve seek their first win after two draws against Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
Cristiano Ronaldo is supported by Karim Benzema and Angel Di Maria, while Luka Modric gets the nod ahead of Isco.
Gareth Bale is on the bench following a series of thigh and back problems, but Benzema, Fabio Coentrao and Raphael Varane are all back in the squad.
Xabi Alonso is still out of action after breaking his foot, though Ancelotti keeps his promise and returns Iker Casillas to the net.
Juventus have stuttered lately, managing just two draws in the Champions League so far against Copenhagen and Galatasaray, while on Sunday they fumbled a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2 at Fiorentina.
Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella and Stephan Lichtsteiner have not made the trip to Madrid, but Antonio Conte has transformed his tactics for this test against his former Juventus Coach Ancelotti.
He shelved the usual 3-5-2 formation for a 4-3-1-2 with Fernando Llorente partnering Carlos Tevez and support from Claudio Marchisio in a more advanced trequartista role.
The big surprises are in defence with Martin Caceres and Angelo Ogbonna stepping in, leaving Leonardo Bonucci and Kwadwo Asamoah on the bench.
It’s a particular risk to start Uruguayan Caceres, who has only played in the Italian Super Cup this season back in August, as he had a knee injury.
Ogbonna hasn’t done much better, featuring in one Champions League game and three Serie A matches.
Juve won their last visit to the Bernabeu, 2-0 in November 2008 thanks to an Alessandro Del Piero brace which earned him a standing ovation.
The Turin giants are unbeaten against Real Madrid since a 1-0 here in February 2005, winning three on the bounce.
Earlier today the youth teams met in the UEFA Youth League, as Real Madrid won 6-2 with Enzo Fernandez on the field, the son of ex-Juve star Zinedine Zidane.
Real Madrid: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo; Khedira, Illarramendi, Modric; Di Maria, Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo
Real Madrid bench: To follow.
Juventus: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Chiellini, Ogbonna; Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba; Marchisio; Tevez, Llorente
Juventus bench: Storari, Isla, Bonucci, Peluso, Padoin, Asamoah, Giovinco
