Buffon agent dismisses Madrid link

Gianluigi Buffon’s agent has rubbished recent reports that Real Madrid may target the Juventus shot-stopper.

Stories have emerged in the Press over the past few weeks that the Spanish giants could be targeting the veteran Italian.

But his representative has insisted that those claims are ‘unfounded’.

“How am I meant to comment on a rumour like that?” Silvano Martina questioned to tuttojuve.

“I do not know where that has come from, but it is pointless to even consider it.

“All I know is that Real Madrid will be playing Juventus in the Champions League – and that will be the only meeting Buffon will have with Madrid.

“Everything else is absolutely fanciful and unfounded.”
