Need a new laptop!

Android is as good from usability perspective as iOS, just different. The hardware though is about half the price. Brand cost in App£€, and that's why I always say to anyone who swears to them, "You know that their bosses laugh how much money they are making from you?" And the answer is mostly silence and dismiss.

thinking of buying a 2012 Macbook Pro after watching some videos

seem like they have good specs for the price, like the specs still hold up well, lot of videoson youtube with people using upgraded versions of the 2012 model

can get them with an i5, 8GB RAM and 256 GB SSD for just under £400, just not sure about the screen though tbh.

anyone know of any other laptops I should consider for around that price range with similar specs? don't wanna spend more than 400, I only really want it for light work and entertainment (youtube, twitch, etc)

not necessarily just for gaming but i need it for running some heavy I/Os at times ie... if $1200 can give me good spec hardware i7 or AMD Ryzen with 8 cores 16 threads or equivalence of i7 w/ NVM-e SSD incl. with 16 GB DDR4 (8GB x 2 ) dual ch. 2x GPU upgradable (for now 1x is fine) works for me

any suggestions please let me know

At first, I'd check whether all cables are attached as they should. Then connect another monitor and see whether the issue persists. If the problem doesn't go away, your video card is dying.

Uninstall the video card drivers, restart, install the newest ones, then connect a monitor or a TV via HDMI or other cables. See then whether the issue is still produced on TV/monitor. Also important to see if the problem comes up ASAP or after some time. Sometimes, old laptops are just too dusty, they overheat because its fan cannot cool down the CPU/GPU fast enough. If that's the case look up the model in youtube, disassemble and clean the cooler/fan.

That's an integrated GPU within the CPU die. You can't exchange or replace. Try to open up and clean the fan, apply thermal paste if you've got one, reinstall intel HD Graphics driver and hope for the best. Most likely, your laptop is kicking the bucket.

what the hell Babun i uninstalled the thing last night and until this morning i still can't re-install it successfully. It says the digital signature cannot be verified... now im stuck with this crappy 2006 default display that views browsers out of the screen size resolution.. unbelievable

i doubt it's a fan/cooling problem because i hardly ever hear the fan overpowering... only if i open a lot of heavy programs at the same time.

also if i move the upper screen part of the laptop up and down the glitching happens... could it be another hardware problem besides cooling issue? my laptop is in its 4th year (is that old enough for problems) and it has never fallen before.

Very fishy, where did you get the drivers? You should go to the intel website itsself. That's the driver:

Try to install the driver first.

yea i got the drivers from intel... i tried a few, none of them worked... thank god for windows system restore though... got it back working again

the glitching seems to be another hardware problem... i'll ask my people if they didn't accidentally drop my laptop in the past few days.

@RealGunner or anyone else, might you have any further tips on the issue besides what Babun mentioned?

Rule number 1: It's never the drivers' fault your regular graphics start acting up. No need to play around with them.

It being a laptop, it might be any age-related issue, imo. When a laptop starts to go, that's usually it. There's no replacing parts.

@Warrior just for internet browsing and work... rarely any heavy programs, RAM 4 GB (3.8 GB usable). I really doubt its a performance issue because the computer is still fast.

@RG i thought it was random when i initially posted, but realising more it's only when i move the screen up and down.

The last option is to look up the model and see whether someone else in the WWW had the same problems. Most of the time, you're never the chosen one
