Re: Real Madrid King of Finances!
How are the two even remotely related. If you're referring to keeping Ozil.... having him or Bale sit on the bench wouldn't help anything and would only create drama. We're getting rid of drama as much as possible if you hadn't noticed.BarrileteCosmico wrote:Madridistas: would you rather be 100m in net debt and win La Decima or be as you are now?
For Madrid... control the locker room = chance at decima. Talent is never an issue.

Being in debt isn't such a bad thing as long as your debts are not too high and 90m isn't really a lot compared to an income of 520m.

Re: Real Madrid King of Finances!
I don't really get the freak out some of you have against Madrid with the Bale deal.
None of you take into account the talent they let go in order to buy Bale. It's not like they just bought Bale and didn't make a sacrifice to get him
I mean they did sell Higuain and Ozil in the same window and almost already completely made the money back. That was 35 mill Euros for Higgy and 42-45 mill Euro's for Ozil.
They bought Bale for 80 mill Euro's or around that. I'm not a banker but that pretty much a wash.
I mean other teams spent a lot more than them in this window.

Re: Real Madrid King of Finances!
Just to be clear - the entity named "financial debt" is 90.6m. It may be net debt or just bank debt.
If it's net debt, then the (bank+creditor)debt is at least 402.5m Euro. Why?
Real have declared to have equity of 311.9m Euro and have arrived at the 90.6m debt by deducing the equity from the overall debt(the definition of which is up to Real's accountants and is VERY, VERY FLEXIBLE), so adding the "financial debt" to the equity we arrive at what Real defines as total debt, at least 402.5m Euro.
The net profit of 36.9m from 520m Euro revenue is more than respectable and its increase of 52.4% over the previous year(24.2m Euro in 2011-2012) seems enormous at first glance. However, one should not forget that the 2011-2012 year Real won La Liga, which entitled the players to serious bonuses. This year(2012-2013) there were NO such bonuses.
In comparison, Barcelona declared profits of 32m Euro out of a 491m Euro revenue - and that includes the 16-20m of bonuses for winning La Liga. Net debt remained practically unchanged at 331m Euro from 334m the previous year.
Some clarification - since this is for the 2012-2013 period, Barcelona's debt includes the 57m paid for Neymar. On the other hand Real's debt doesn't include the spending made for this summer's signings, because they are for 2013-2014.
For 2013-2014 the relative finances are as follows:
Real Madrid -65m to -72m(depending on the definition and variables)
Barcelona +27.1m to +28.1m(depending on variables)
