wasted time chasing unobtainable players, low ball bid's, no real plan was set out, payed about 5 million more for Fellaini then he could of had him for in July with his buy out clause, appears to have been to late on getting Coentrao loan deal done, thought he could negotiate with Bilbao for a player who they said they would not negotiate for and never do negotiate on players, and ended up letting the deal go because he didn't want to pay €6 million euros extra for the tax on the buyout but would spend 5 million extra pounds on a Fellaini who he could of had cheaper a month ago.

basically just embarrassment after embarrassment is all
