Fact is that Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney all have good universities in terms of study. The problem with Adelaide is that the city is so much smaller than Sydney. Yes, there are over a million people here, but everybody knows each other and the CBD itself is quite small. There's not much to do and there is not a great deal of diversity in your typical night out. The other big drawback with Adelaide is that work opportunities are limited by the small population and the centralisation of everything. It's not like NSW where you have other decent sized cities in regional areas...
