Anyways, Lukaku is Chelsea's best striker. Been saying this since seeing him in our 3-0 opening day loss last season.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V2
Yaya and Silva still at it, the 2 key players for Man C.
Dezko's first choice status I think is gone. Negredo consistently impressing and I think he should be starting from now on.
Man C's defense has been crap and I said even with Kompany back I doubt would be fixed, since he hasnt even been that good for a long time now. The others no need to mention. Nastasic looks decent.... Im not sure why, maybe its Pellegrini less focus and idea on the defense? Fernandinho I think is good, but so often it seems hes out numbered and asked to do too much defensively. The whole team needs to help defend better. Wont be surprised if we sign a CB, I hope we do in the winter

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V2
pretty clear what liverpools strength is, they have one of the best strike duos in the league. Sturridge is ridiculous at making space in the box, his feet are too fast to defend.

I've only watched Liverpool at the beginning of the season.
Are they really playing a 532 now with Moses as midfielder as reported at whoscored?

3-5-2 rather than 5-3-2 but they are relative.
They have been playing different formations

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V2
We started the season playing a variation of 4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1 and now that we have too many starting CB's and not any real wide attackers we've moved to a 3-4-1-2 to fit all of our squads strengths. Waiting for Glen Johnson to come back and slot into that RWB spot and Coutinho in the AM role (currently occupied by Moses) right behind SAS.
The RWB has been sort of a problem with Johnson being injured since we've had to deploy Henderson or Sterling there. Neither of whom are wing backs. But he's supposed to be fit after the international break for our next match against Newcastle.
As for Coutinho, so far this season he's been targeted by teams whether he's played on the left or in the middle, but with Suarez back and moving to his favorite positions with our new formation with two class forwards in front of him it should help open up more space for him to operate in. He's also currently injured and should be back after the International break after the Newcastle match.
Another weakness has been the immobility of Lucas and Gerrard in the center of midfield. They are both quality players but when paired together we get overrun by athletic players. So Henderson playing in the middle is a must until we get someone better. A rotation between Lucas, Gerrard, Hendo for the two pivot spots in the center is expected and encouraged.
And lastly it's Jose Enrique at LWB. When he's playing good he's very good, but when he's not playing good he's so bad that he completely ruins the whole flow of the team. Aly Cissokho should give him competition there but the poor fella has been injured so far. He's also looking to be fit after the international break. It'll be interesting once we get all of our players back fit.
Expected line up when everyone is fit. With Henderson, Moses, Skrtel, and Cissokho pretty much shoe-ins here and there depending on who we are playing.

Any sort of draw will put Arsenal back in first, since we have the same GD and they've scored more. Hoping for a loss.HEIL MEIN REDS wrote:a 0-0 is preferable nowMcAgger wrote:Top of the league

why, is your main competition west brom? im talking about the guy that would prefer a 0-0 draw rather than west brom winning. Unless west brom actually are your competition then ive made a mistake, I didn't think they were

ha, off course i would wish arsenal to loose but i dont see them loosing this one. No way, before international break...
it was just that Kos was in my fantasy team so i thought draw would be realistic so i thought 0-0

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V2
Thank f*ck for that we needed it desperately.
Despite some great performances we are still a wildly inconsistent team.... 45 mins we are great and 45 mins we are crap being the theme of this season.
Remy is brilliant though I can confidently say he's our best forward since Shearer.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V2
Such an unnecessary conversation we're having right now.
But anyways, I think Heil said preferably 0-0 because if you look at it realistically, a draw is probably the best WBA can hope for, and also he's got Kos in his fantasy team which helps him if you don't concede.

Wanted him when Torres was sold to Chelsea back in 2010.
Good to see he finally has a chance in the PL.
He did well with QPR last year but struggled with injuries. Although, weren't you calling him flop after he had 4 goals in 5 or something because he didn't help QPR stay up?
