DMs are overrated anyway.... Arsenal had the 2nd best defence in the league with apparently no DMs.

With the way Arsenal play DMs would be a hindrance to them not an improvement.

They also played with zero DMs against the apparent Super Team of Spurs and Spurs hardly created a chance all game long.

And werent you the guy who was actively calling for Arsenal to sign a DM,CB and a striker all summer ? Now that they dint sign a quality one,suddenly DM's are overrated and apparently Arsenal have this unique style of play which doesnt suit DM's.

ffs Arsenal playing at home against Spurs who pretty much had their 2012-13 squad without Bale and still didn't win anywhere near what I would call convincingly. This is what has come of Arsenal these days, people celebrating wins like that when we used to thrash scrub teams like Spurs (no offence) a few years ago and not even consider them worthy of celebrating against

And the reason Arsenal had a great defence last season was because we attacked nowhere near previous seasons. We've kissed flowing football good bye for physical English style football with hints of Spanish in the creative departments.

Still say they should.... but for depth reasons.... that was always my stance, well except the striker of course i have maintained always they needed a WC striker and still think so.

It will probably prove the difference between challenging for the title and what they will do.... finish top 4 and not much more.

Also i have always said DMs are overrated, people focus too much on roles, positions and not the entire team fabric as a whole.

ronaldo is simply too high profile to be doing all that stuff, if ronaldo was to live the party life, the media and everyone would destroy him quick.

defence wasnt the problem as proved last season stat wise, strikers didnt work out cause there was not a man to help them to, cazorla couldnt do it,
along with ozil arsenal will do well in europe and finish top 3

More like Oezil saw he wasn't valued and Perez wanted to balance the books. The vilification of Oezil by the Madrid-based media after he left is quite disgraceful.

It has nothing to do with perez tho, if Ozil wanted to stay, we could have kept him.

Ancelotti didnt value Ozil the way he or his father expected: that means, sporting wise he was denied his favorite position, and economically he was denied a galactico salary. He left for these reasons, the rest is BS imo.

Ozil doesn't really seem the type to cause disruption and get obsessed with the night life.

well, when Ozil left Werder there was similar issues with regards to his contract, and he is a party goer. You dont become BFF with Ramos if you dont party.
