Your favorite stadium per country
IMO:
England:
Craven Cottage - Fulham FC - London
St. James Park - Newcastle
Spain:
Sanchez Pizjuan - Sevilla FC - Seville
Beautiful location.
Italy:
Stadio luigi Ferraris - Sampdoria - Genoa
Stadio San Paolo - Napoli - Naeples
Germany:
Olympiastadion - Hertha BSC - Berlin
So much history has happened this place.
France:
Parc Des Princes - PSG - Paris
Netherlands:
De Kuip - Feyenoord - Rotterdam
Portugal:
Estadio Dragao - FC Porto - Oporto
I also love Hakduk Split's stadium(Poljud) and La Bombanera in Buenos Aires.

Firenze thats some nice looking pics there. That Tokyo Arena is not a football related though right, looks small for other sports? I wonder what if it rains or they kick a ball out onto the streets though XD
U got to admire the Japanese how they make their city look so futuristic
The top Stade Louis II looks like in an area for the rich, a elegant big club house

I can see Bolton's reebok stadium from where i work and asmuch as i dislike Bolton Wanderers the stadium is sort of nice for a small team. Not my favorite by any means though.
Juventus Arena is gorgeous, after that it would have to be the Allianz

Re: Your favorite stadium per country
Juventus Arena is your typical, uncreative, characterless soulless bowl that seems prevalent in modern design. It has zero identity or individuality.

Lmao what? how?
for starters its only been around for 2 years it has plenty of room to expand, improve and has loads of time gain a better legacy.
Soulless? You need to start watching Juventus matches and come back and tell me if the stadium is soulless.
Uncreative? the stadium generates its own power with solar panels around the stadium, it has a built in museum and shopping center. I dont know how many other stadiums have that sort of stuff?
Imo one of the best looking and unique stadiums out there.

Re: Your favorite stadium per country
There's absolutely nothing creative or unique about it. A shopping centre doesn't make it individual, Coventry's Ricoh Arena has that nonsense.
It follows the current English model of producing bland glass, steel and concrete monstrosities. If you're going to use these construction materials then do something batshit crazy like Dallas Cowboy's stadium, the proposed New Anfield, or Zaha Hadid's Japan National Stadium.
Italy is supposed to be the country of style after all.
And please don't tell me to "go and watch Juventus" I've been following Italian football long before you swimming around in your dad's nuts. I remember when you had but a few hundred at the old place, even Carlisle get more than that!

Re: Your favorite stadium per country
Why do we have to do something batshit crazy though?
And when I said go watch juve I mean in this day and age, you watch a game at the JA and tell me it's soulless without lying.
Anyway the thread is stadiums you like, and I think it's an amazing stadium with a good design, it may not be unique like the stadia is a triangle or something bit it's a very well designed stadium. Your opinion is a decent one, I agree it's not that different to most modern stadiums so your right in that respect and I respect that cause it's true.
And everyone knows the Dele Alpi was a complete disaster lol.

Re: Your favorite stadium per country
Juventus had an opportunity to steal the scene with a new stadium and pave the way for modern Italian football to shake off its archaic image that seems stuck in a bygone area. Instead they went for a cheap looking flatpack building straight outta England.
I understand Inter and Roma are looking to build new stadiums in the near future, it would be nice to see them do something trendsetting and futuristic.

Re: Your favorite stadium per country
Well I mean we wanted a modern stadium so we chose a modern design.... is that concept hard to grasp?
Don't give me that soulless B.S watch a CL game at Juventus Arena and tell me how soulless it is. The stadium is beautiful, modern, and intuitive. Like Cassius said the use of solar panels and the inclusion of a an interactive musuem in English and Italian makes it very open to everyone. Not to mention Juve has also bought land around the stadium and is planning to rebuild it and create a beautiful surrounding area near the stadium.
The design is modern ffs I don't know what more you want.

You chose an unoriginal, unimaginative template design. Is that concept hard to grasp?

Re: Your favorite stadium per country
Who gives a shit about originality it's a beautiful stadium that brings the fans right up front with the players for an electric atmosphere. Get over this creativity stuff.

But the aesthetics is what this thread is about!
