Had a couple scrimmages today. Hit the crossbar with a 25 yard shot Took a knee right in the femur, you know, that area where you hit someone and call it a "limper"...yeahh. I'm still feeling it lol

I was having a pretty good game, I was standing a guy up with my arm out with my body between the man and the ball. I felt him pressure a little to much on my left so I spun out to the right and after I finished my pass his teammate took a fool on shot right into the bridge of my right foot. I thought it was broken, thankfully it was not.

Did score 5 goals with 3 assists, and boomed one that the goalie thought he could save with one hand and still went in after sounding like his hand exploded, it was a good day

There really is no set length of play, this is usually just a get together where we play from 6:30 until it gets dark (usually 8:30). We also don't play full field, we play on a 75 yard long pitch with full size goals. We typically do this once every 2 weeks between supporter groups for Orlando City Soccer Club. It'll probably be once a month now that soccer season is starting Friday night.

Mini goals, the bane of my existence. I'll probably hit for the cycle before getting an actual goal (we call the cycle hitting all the posts). Had a miserable season last year after playing so well the season before. I went from 8 goals and 8 assists on the season to 7 assists and 1 goal last season.

It's just been near a week so far and I'm so excited. We did 2 a days all week and scrimmaged yesterday, I thought I would be savoring a day off today but all I feel like right now aside from watching Barca is getting out there and playing some more. High school footy really is the best.

Yeah, really wish I would of started playing at a younger age, but I grew up in a conservative family and only played traditional sports (wrestling, baseball, and football). Only reason I was able to play lacrosse was I told my father to f$ck off and went to lacrosse tryouts instead of baseball because I liked the coach of the lacrosse team. Was able to go to college on a wrestling/lacrosse scholarship, but it was a mistake giving up on baseball given how good I was.

Oh well, the things we do to piss of our parents. Longest year of my life, the baseball coach actually came to our house that night. Awkward.

Never really was interested in another sport other than footy. I wrestled for two years but didn't enjoy it and so I quit. I was halfway decent but I was never going to live up to my brother's success and if I didn't enjoy it I wasn't going to do it.

There is no men's volleyball here and even if there was I'm pretty sure it would collide with footy season so I wouldn't do it, but that's really the only other sport I'd ever consider playing.

I just do footy all year round

Yeah I've always been good at sports, runs in the family.

Doesn't hurt my father played professional baseball and could field an all star team with existing players he coached in their youth who now play or played in the majors.

I've picked up soccer fairly quickly though, but there is still so much to learn. Also, I don't have my speed any more as I'm starting to get older so that's always fun when you assume you'll just run past someone and realize you don't have that extra gear anymore.
