I don't think falcao would've joined us anyway, I a two interviews where he stated he chose the Moncao project and wanted to go there despite interest from other clubs. But idk... It's history now, can't cry over spilled milk.

Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with both Willian and his club Anzhi Makhachkala for the transfer of the Brazilian player.

The transfer is subject to a work permit hearing on Wednesday.

That's what he has to say. Believe me, there are few clubs he wouldn't have chosen over Monaco if he had that chance.

The rule (I believe) is that we can only have a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players in our 25 man squad, youth players and homegrown players have to make up the remaining 8 spots.

He still wouldn't have joined Chelsea anyway(going by his comments when he joined Fiorentina). Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to see him signed but then for how long would he have performed?

For as little as he was going for, even a season or 2 of performance (and there's no reason to think he couldn't go on for much more than that) would have been more than enough, until a longer-term option could be brought in when there are more options available. How he wasn't even looked at is bemusing.
