Was just about to ask about this. I've been hearing for awhile that he's not all that good anymore. In fact, I even heard from one person that he doesn't even play as a striker anymore, but in a more withdrawn role behind the frontman.

It's a no from me too, I think.

Rooney is a striker. He's only been shifted around the team in a million different positions because the manager's told him to.

The last time he played as a #9 for an entire season, he scored 34 in 44 games. FACHT.

I didn't realise Eto had become rubbish. Unfortunate as the Eto of 3-4 seasons ago could be the perfect answer for our goal scoring issues.

Everyone hating on Eto'o without watching him properly.... He might be 32 but he's still faster then Torres lul, he's been playing sometimes as a fricking CM because the Anzhi team is so crap but he's still got it. If he came anything under 125k a week on a 2 year deal, id take it no hesitation.

So you regularly watch Anzhi regularly then, do you? hmm

Besides, no one's said he's DEFINITELY not good enough, just that we suspect that he may be too old and past it based on what we've heard from others.

I don't watch them loads no, but I catch up on the Russian league when I can (only for my boy Honda though Proud
