when it got to Italy defenders..i was sure either Bonucci or Chiellini would miss.
his job is not to take penalties. he is a brute player..not technical gifted...that just learned how to properly pass two years ago..when conte took over (before he was blasting the ball to narnia)

it's like putting a striker in goal to save a penalty and then criticize him for conceding the goal.

I'm sure when Bonucci wakes up and thinks about the miss the night before in the Confederations cup it will be on his mind for about......

I'm pretty certain the reaction would have different if it were Ramos or Pique. Bonucci misses a crucial penalty and it just does not have any zing to it. Like a shrug of the shoulders and the thought "Was expecting this actually". I'm pretty sure he feels guilty for lot more than 2 minutes but he'll get over it. If Baggio (eventually) got over it, I'm sure Bonucci can...

why should they? the confeds cup is a warm-up to the world cup. everybody knows thats. u go there to test players, tactics etc. for sure u dont wanna get blown out every game. u play the game. but if u win yayyyyy, if u lose oh well ok lets correct what we did wrong and next year when it counts we come back better. why should he mourn over this lol? i know i wouldnt. but i would come out like a beast when it counts though. Emanuele Giaccherini has revealed he should have stepped up to take Italy’s crucial seventh penalty against Spain instead of Leonardo Bonucci.

The latter made the decisive mistake from the spot in the shoot-out, after the Confederations Cup semi-final ended 0-0, by blasting his effort over the bar.

“That penalty should have fell to me,” the Juventus midfielder, whose side lost 7-6, told La Repubblica. “However, I didn’t feel like taking it and I asked Leo to have a go instead.”

Bonucci, a teammate of Giaccherini in Turin, has admitted that the movement of Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas was a factor in his error.

Probably the best CB in Europe atm, he's got it all, passing, defensively solid, literally everything, its amazing if you think about how far he's come since his earlier years, i'll be honest i never thought he'd amount to much. I'd be lying if i said i'm not jealous.

add to that all the things that happened to his family with his kid not so long ago its like a month.
