You fell victim to the first couple of episodes
You have to power through episodes 2-6 in season 1.
It's character and setting development. The pilot is pretty good but then it gets a little slow in episodes 2-6. But the reward is absolutely amazing.

Yeah normally I call B.S when people say 'you need to watch X amount of episodes before it gets good'
But this was legit as far as justified was concerned. It's totally different after that.

I think I'm the only one who enjoyed the first couple of episodes.

Yeh I didn't mind it when there was a new criminal every episode at the start of season 1.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
they probably call in special weapons units, because what's the point in going to all your investigations carrying a gun. Will probably result in more violence than needed imo.McAgger wrote:RealGunner wrote:Police don't carry guns in the UK lol

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
There is no crime in the UK. Our crimes are mainly drunk people outside the pub or yo\o youth gangs trying to intimidate someone.
0.04% recorded intentional homicides committed with a firearm per 100,000 inhabitants in 2010
Guns are mainly at the Police station and are given when the crime is supposed to be big.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
UK police is equivalent to mall cops here ffs
What if the police get caught in a bad situation during one of their patrols. How do you protect yourself. Hide until special units get there?
That's pretty weird. Has it always been like this? Because this is the first time I've ever heard of it.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
Crime isn't that hectic in the UK imo to require guns 24/7. Although I still think they should carry one just in case. I actually initially thought they carried one.

They call for the backup. Usually patrolling cars. They arrive in less than 10 minutes.
And yea it's always been like that. And has worked perfectly for centuries

Always thought Michael Ealy was a talented actor. Great stuff as the android and it's also quite interesting to see Karl Urban on a TV show. It looks good on him.
Oh and if anything, watch it for Minka Kelly ffs.
Was about to post if anyone was watching this. Great show so far. I am on episode 6. Kelly is so fit.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
I've always been for giving the police guns
But hardly anybody in the UK even has a gun. It's all knife crime here. It's very rare a cop will respond to a call and end up being in a firefight
There are armed units incase anything major kicks off. But yeah... apart from the odd rare crime chances are cops will run into a small gang of chavs, with 1 carrying a poorly hidden knife.
