Re: The TV Series Thread
I'm totally the opposite of that. I love coming home after a long day of work or at the Uni and just put on a show and think of nothing. Three shows just isn't going to cut it then.
Fringe is going to be awesome again, loving that trailer. Also looking forward to some new Dexter, Spartacus, Community, Homeland, Shameless, Suits, Supernatural, TBBT and White Collar.
Not sure if these have been posted yet, but these are looking promising:
Revolution (2012)
J.J. Abrams!
Zero Hour
Elementary
Modern Sherlock Holmes.

Re: The TV Series Thread
I don't know if your thinking of the same new Sherlock Holmes, but there was this british mini series on BBC called Sherlock. I watched the series finale and it was brilliant, looking foward to the new season to see if I go up to a 4 TV series man.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Yeah, I know about that one. Didn't really like that show as much though, I don't know. When it comes down to British shows nothing beats Luther.
Re: The TV Series Thread
the writers of BBC's are angry because CBS wanted a NY version of their story but they denied it, and now they are starting their own. and the BBC writers think it will undermine theirs if it fails.
btw i hate it whenever there is a good show in UK they try to copy it US but majority of the time fail badly because they make it too similar.
My biggest problem with this is why is a women(Lucy Liu) playing Watson?

SGU was too much like a space version of Lost. But it was good for what it was. I preferred Atlantis and SG-1 though.

Ultimately it's a poor mans Battlestar Galactica...Never seen SG1 and Atlantis continuously, only when I catch it on SyFy(or SciFi) but there seems to be a lack of a constant background story unlike on SGU.Also the ridiculousness of the Teal'c character always puts me of SG1 and on Atlantis it was the repetition. The same situations over and over, characters were so badly predictable...

Re: The TV Series Thread
Hey now!
I liked Teal'c. One of my favorite characters and majorly responsible for the word "indeed" becoming one of my favorite words to say lol.
SG1 and Atlantis actually did have pretty good background plots. There was always a main story arc that a season focused on, it was just broken up into smaller plots to stretch out the season.

Re: The TV Series Thread
But the idea of alien worm parasites controlling people, and upright puddles that could teleport you around the galaxy (and beyond) did? Also, Universe is built on the previous series...
SG1 was fantastic while Richard Dean Anderson was a main member of the team, but I didn't like his replacement as much.

No.

At least the puddles are based on a theoretically possible concept...

Stumbled upon this video on youtube and it just reminded of why the newsreader from 'Rome' is one of my favorite characters in a tv series. Absolutely brilliant acting

Re: The TV Series Thread
Suits and White Collar are pretty damn good. Very few actually watch White Collar (well at least, compared to Suits).
I also watch HIMYM, NCIS, Nikita, Burn Notice, Big bang theory and I plan to watch Community very soon.
NCIS is going nowhere though, I'm kind of getting bored with the whole bad guy of the week without any movement to the central story (though arguably many shows are like that-but their characters make the show more fun to watch).

- Spoiler:
- Yeah so far Anson is the only guy solely taking responsible for buring Western. I havent seen the very latest episode but in the end of last season, or the beginning of new season anson escaped, i dont recall anyone shooting him or well fiona did in the end of last epside trying to kill him thats all i can remember, maybe mclewis can enligten a bit... havent been able to get time to watch new season
- Spoiler:
- did some catching up with burn notice new season; and yeah wth ... Anson got shot, along with Nate Western, Michael brother, is dead.... well so far there is no lead, but in the latest episode they found where the sniper was brought from; assassin used to kill anson and nate, seems like somethings up with Rebecca, the girl who worked alongside anson, and later convinced Michael that she was also set up by anson to work alongside her or her brother would get killed. atm Rebecca is innocent but perhaps we might see some surprise, after all in latest episode after nate and anson got killed she was trying to bail until michael caught her and eventually freed her
Burn Notice atm is kick-ass, unlike previous season which was a bit slow.

Re: The TV Series Thread
I've started watching Continuum now. It's a decent sci-fi show from the looks of it and the lead actress is pretty nice so I'm probably going to keep watching. Don't expect good acting or great effects though.
