Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
I will be actively avoiding this thread until I have seen the last episode.
If somebody inboxes me with, say, a way of watching such an episode before monday I may or may not be very grateful and possibly/possibly not use said link to watch the programme of my choosing.
If you catch my meaning

Yeah I avoid twitter for GoT now any time.
And thanks brah, the sites I use only seem to have it available like 10 hours before Sky do and it's pointless.

@Dante: Two separate spoilers for two separate questions, but they're both for you...
- Spoiler:
- Aegon had fair hair like all the Targaryens... If he IS an imposter, he looks a lot like Aegon would've when he was older.
- Spoiler:
- The R+L=J theory is by far the most popular one I've seen about GoT... After I finished ADWD I got some GoT withdrawal and started reading all the different theories out there, and between r/gameofthrones, r/asoiaf, and the different forums I checked out, this seems to be the one with the most consensus. The list of evidence for it is HUGE, and there are also strong indications that Jon is Azor Ahai reborn as well. (Although there are something like 15 different characters that could supposedly be). After you finish the last book you should look up the compilations of evidence that are out there, it seems pretty strong and I personally expect to hear Howland Reed say it out loud in book 6.

Doesn't Bran and Robb have auburn hair? Only Arya is black haired, if i remember correctly.
- Spoiler:
yeah they do , especialy Robb . In any case , we can only speculate..
What i thought was that usualy kids in Westeros take more from their fathers , even though it's not an exact science obviously lol..
Having that said , i think i agree with Stevie here and he's a Targaryen after all. Perhaps i am over thinking this , but i think there are clues which indicate as such since book 1 actualy. Like when Robert informs Ned about Daenarys marriage with Drogo..Ned goes to mention one Whyla or what's her name lol.. Robert didn't even remember the name and says he never saw her (iirc).. really? These two were like brothers , they grew up together , they fought and won a rebelion together.. and Robert never saw her ? lol
Not to mention , it's even more suspicious that Robert knew so few about the mother of his friend's only bastard..Ned Stark's bastard , you understand the signifigance well enough i get.Robert though thinks very differently than Ned and he just assumes Ned did it because he got hard one day lol. It could well be that Ned could never find it in himself to say the truth to his best friend , after fighting a rebelion because of Rhaegar's actions , not to mention what Lyanna ment to him .That he also kept it secret , even from his own wife , to protect his House honour .. i don't know but it makes sense to me tbh.
- Spoiler:
yes, clues to jon's parentage is evident from the first and second books itself(I didn't notice until I have been to the forums because I read very fast and does not remember the details). There is no need to look at the hair color.
-Ned's memory of the promise to Lyanna who was at Rhaegar's tower lying in a pool of blood(she was giving birth to Jon and died from it).
-In ACOK, in the house of undying chapter:
"A blue flower grew from a chink in a wall of ice, and filled the air with sweetness."
An image of major importance to many readers, it is commonly believed that this vision draws a direct connection between Lyanna Stark (who loved blue roses), the song of Bael the Bard (who eloped with Lord Stark's daughter, leaving a blue rose in her place, and had a child by her), and Jon Snow (who is on the Wall). If the reading is correct, it is one of the strongest pieces of evidence in support of Jon being the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. An alternate but less popular explanation is that the blue flower merely represents a Stark on the Wall..

Since you have read the books, it will be interesting to go into details like the prophesies, signs, visions...etc..
-
- Spoiler:
- This is getting better and better
Anyway , yeah there are a lot of stuff that could hint about Jon being the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar. I can't help it but think of Ned's stance in this , even though there are much more interesting hints to look at , obviously.
In A Game of Thrones , when Ned is at King's Landing , thinks about and remembers stuff about his kids , mostly in his last days iirc.. but i can't recall if he was thinking about Jon Snow tbh.. although i remember very well about that promise to Lyanna , i clearly recall now that it had caught my attention big time.. perhaps it could be that this was the respective memory about Jon?
Having all that said , GRRM , at least from what i get so far from his books , he rarely allows one-way stories.. usualy , there could be at least 2 or 3 alternative scenarios that could well happen for a single/few detail(s) prevented or allowed. I find the idea of Jon Targaryen so exciting tbh , but the man is mean He could be setting all this up for a future story which we can't possibly assume as of now. For instance , to make Jon an enemy of Daenerys , he must create the sircumstances to allow that to unfold in the book and he could do so by creating the hypothesis that Jon is Rhaegar's son .. it's very half assed yeah , but one can never be sure with him. I wouldn't exclude it to be nothing in the end and that is only a non-existant plot behind a hidden one , which he couldn't possibly present us without hinting about Jon being a Targaryen.
Anyway , i really , really wish he's Rhaegar's son , because it makes for one hell of a story . I haven't finished all the books yet , i am midway AFFC so i take this all as further info as of now. Once i finish the books , first place i visit on the internet is that link

- I couldn't resist. My mind said no , do not open this spoiler. few secs later i was reading your post.. that escalated quickly lol
I see. This is getting sweeter and sweeter Jon Snow/Stark/Targaryen/Azor Ahai Too much epicness in one sentence lol . Jon has instantly become 10x times more interesting. I knew there was something about that prince and Jon , though best leave it aside for now , assumptions and spoiling everything do have a very delicate line between them
As for R+L=J. Fascinating. Jon has black hair , it could well be it's all the proof we need really. Ned Stark , for all his good intentions , could never hope to hide a kid with a Targaryen's characteristics in the North So , since (always assuming) Jon took from Lyanna , it could be Ned kept him close and claimed him as his own bastard son actualy and none ever would think twice about it and especialy Robert lol. It makes total sense , that and many other hints about this theory. Not surprised how the whole case it caught my attention so much , though i will still allow me some doubts ..
I'll definitely get back in to this discussion once i finish all the current books. I can't continue this talk any longer , i have half a mind of spoiling it all right now Let's just put aside all this talk about Rhaegar and Aegon and Jon , because i have some really wicked and crazy ideas right now and i don't need to know more untill i close the last page from ADWD . Later.

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
Get ready to rage, because if anything I've heard about the finale is true, they aren't done with creating outrage from the Red Wedding. I know one thing that happened in the book that will create rage, but they potentially took it a large step further creating another scene that didn't happen and is pretty sick even by Game of Thrones standards.

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
I have a sound theory.
the Starks motto is 'Winter is coming'
Ned Stark had a kid called John Snow
People associate Snow with Winter above all other things.
John Snow is north of the wall
I believe that 'Winter' is just a symbol for John Snow. The white walkers will never pass the wall. I think that John Snow A.K.A Winter will get be back south of the wall soon. The Iron throne will change kings, however as soon as it does that's when John Snow comes out of nowhere and takes over the entire land.
He will then rule the galaxy with the Emperor, and they will construct a 'death star' of sorts to help rule over the world.
SERIES OVER. Done.

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
This is only to be read after viewing the show, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
- Spoiler:
- I received this still from a friend of a possible scene from the show.
I've also heard they also potentially Talisa's head on Grey winds body so they have the Wolf King and his bitch.
What they did to Robb is in the book, so while it's disturbing, I've had plenty of time to make peace with it. However, the Talisa part isn't in the book, and if they actually do that I think they will create legitimate anger from fans and the media.
I know that personally I'll probably go on a 24 hour bender of rage [/quote]

This has crossed my mind a lot. In fact, I have a feeling it's a strong foreshadowing for Jon's role in the show/books.
However, I believe "Winter is Coming" is also very literal as in winter will come and the Starks will prevail type of thing. Someone in this thread pointed out how Starks become weak during the summer years and this current summer has been going on for a decade or so, and it sort of symbolizes the Starks downfall.

Glad I the second part of my spoiler turned out to be un-true.

FFS DAT SMALL COUNCIL MEETING
So much on mind but I'll write it later as I have to go to sleep. I loved the FINALE though. There wasn't really a huge cliffhanger but a lot of important things happened and a lot of GOAT acting.
Greywinds head on Robs body The Young Wolf indeed. And Motog I was actually hoping your prediction will come true about Tulisa's head on Greywinds body, it would've been insanely f*cked up and would've made a nice little controversial topic to argue about until next season.
