If I was Arsenal
I would offer £45M straight up, and an additional 10M if they qualify for the CL next year.

BR has spoken.
Small bits:
Rodgers has vowed to take “strong and decisive action” against Suarez following his outspoken attack on the club.
“There were no promises made - categorically none - and no promises broken,” Rodgers said.
“The club and his representatives had several conversations and he knew exactly where he was at.
"I think Luis knows the support he's had at the football club and that's something that's been unswerving throughout the whole of last season.
“Obviously the remarks I've read are bitterly disappointing - but my job is bigger than that.
“My job is to fight and protect the club. The conversations I've had with him, he knows I've had and they will remain private.
“I will take strong, decisive action, absolutely. There has been total disrespect of the club - this is a lack of respect of a club that has given him everything. Absolutely everything.
“I really, really feel sorry for the supporters, people that have sung his name. We have travelled the world over the course of this pre-season. 85,00 fans were singing Luis' name in Jakarta. It was the same in Australia, in Thailand and at Steven Gerrard's testimonial.
“I don't believe there is a clause in his contract that says he can leave for any sort of price.”

Arsenal should offer £45m and a flannel so Brenton can wipe the egg off his face.

Lighten up. You're fine insulting and patronising people on here, but anyone says the slightest thing about Liverpool that isn't overwhelming praise and you're all sulking.
What a humourless, overly sensitive bunch you are.

Interesting stuff wrote:
Arsenal face a race against time to sign Suarez ahead of their Champions League play-off, with manager Arsene Wenger admitting earlier on Wednesday that the transfer bid was "on standby".
The squad list must be registered with UEFA by 11pm on Monday, August 12, leaving little time for the finer details of what has become the summer's most protracted transfer saga to be thrashed out.

You mean Arsenal should pay 10 million for denying Liverpool 4th place? lol I don't know but that feels kind of degrading

To be fair I really don't expect pool, Vamps or not, to get ahead of Tottenham nvm Arsenal.

I swear I've heard Rodgers use the term bitterly disappointing in 50 different interviews since he joined Liverpool...should be the new club motto
btw if Suarez goes to Arsenal I will tip my hat to Wenger, lots of ridonkulous fees being splashed about in this window but I feel he would be good value for that money. Second best player in the league after RVP.

I agree but I doubt anyone over at Anfield does. They are definitely going to try and snap up 4th place this season if they keep Suarez.

45 million is way too much for a liability like Suarez.

*sighs* People, stuff like this "reported for trolling" above etc is pretty annoying. So please refrain from derailing the thread like that from now on, or I have to take more severe measures.

If he starts doing stupid things and getting lengthy bans then yes, especially as Arsenal will be relying on his goals.

Considering his track record "when" is more likely than "if"

Hopefully though under a more respectable and appreciated manager, he won't be chewing Chris Brunt's face off or anything daft like that.

Re: If Suarez leaves, which club do you think he'll go to?
I am already surprised by their attempt to even shell out the currently rumoured amount as I have never seen Arsenal spending such a huge amount. And I will be stunned if the deal is agreed for 55m or so.Zealous wrote:Firenze wrote:I swear I've heard Rodgers use the term bitterly disappointing in 50 different interviews since he joined Liverpool...should be the new club motto

Didn't somebody say just a page or two ago that Liverpool should've denied the claim publicly if it wasn't true? Guess that argument doesn't work anymore.

Re: If Suarez leaves, which club do you think he'll go to?
Glad to be back finally to show up some people here.
Lex, who until a few months ago, was claiming he'd rather be in confrence than have a racist cannibal in his team, is now flashing his undies to Suarez non-stop. Who would have thought.
Franchise, the king of reason and professionality (and no bias ) , saying a verbal agreement is more important than a written agreement.
Nick, in hiding all summer, has come out of his cave, trying to defrost his frustration of splashing 105m on Bale on Suarez.
95% of Arsenal fanbase, who were calling Suarez a disgrace, and wanted him out of the country, or permanently injuried with a career threatenning injury, are not offering his mouths to Luis' penis.
All nice to see from the outside
39% win ratio with Suarez, 61% win ratio without Suarez in the last 2.5 years for LFC.
He'd score goals with the Arsenal, but it doesn't mean he'll improve them as a team. the same way we would have finished 7th without his 23 goals this year. Suarez is prone to losing possession in the half way line leading way for opposition counter, and that's one issue Arsenal have had problems in the past. I look forward to more of that now. I look forward to him biting James Tomkins ass next season the moment Perez starts hinting at his agent, so I can see some Arsenal fan hypocrites back to hating him. AND that's even if he leaves.
Arsenal the classiest team in England they said HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Sagna transfer request on the way
