And if Arsenal can talk and agree terms still doesn't change the fact Arsenal need to fork out 50million, Even if Suarez puts in a TR. He signed a long term contract barely 10 months ago.

I think the clause has to be that anyone who bids over £40m can talk to Suarez and his agent. I mean, the media is taking care that Suarez is informed about the bid, the story's everywhere.

Like I wrote in our section, we are now entering territory where a transfer request by Suarez would make things interesting and tricky. Let's say Arsenal bid £45m and Luis submits a written request: we might be better off accepting it than keeping him against his wishes. I dunno. Anyway, somewhere there is the point where it's better to sell a player who wants out than keep him.

Liverpool owner John W Henry has asked what "they're smoking" at Arsenal after rejecting the Gunners' improved offer of just over £40m for Luis Suarez.
The unusual bid of £40,000,001 was designed to trigger a clause in the 26-year-old Uruguay striker's contract.
Under the terms of Suarez's deal, Liverpool must inform him of the bid but do not have to accept it.

It is unclear whether Henry is talking about Arsenal's attempts to sign Suarez or their valuation of the player.
Liverpool have now rejected two bids from Arsenal.
While they remain determined to keep their prized asset, who scored 30 goals for the club in 44 appearances last season, their resolve is likely to be tested if the bidding continues to rise.
Should Arsenal persist and have an improved bid accepted, it could come close to trebling their previous highest initial outlay on a transfer.
The Gunners, whose first offer for Suarez was £30m, paid a reported £15m to Zenit St Petersburg for Andrey Arshavin, in January 2009.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers last week said he considered Suarez to be at least as valuable as Edinson Cavani, who recently joined Paris St-Germain for £55m.
Real Madrid remain interested but have yet to make a formal offer.
Suarez joined Liverpool's pre-season tour of Australia at the weekend and was expected to hold talks about his future with Rodgers.
The Uruguay international flew to Melbourne from Montevideo on Sunday after being given extended leave by the Reds following the Confederations Cup.
He wants to leave Anfield to play for a Champions League club despite only signing a new long-term deal last summer.
Speculation has grown about Suarez's future since he was punished with a 10-game ban at the end of April for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.
The striker still has to serve six games of that suspension and was also banned in 2011 after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.
Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax in January 2011 in a £22.7m deal.

Why should Suarez go to Arsenal? They aren't that much superior to Liverpool imo.

If you want a step up you aim for a much bigger step up.Arsenal is not that big of a step up from Liverpool unless they go on a crazy spending spree this year which i doubt.

If he wants CL football he should go to Madrid or Bayern or somewhere its guaranteed.

Whats the point in going to Arsenal, getting knocked out in last 16 or group stage and might not even make top 4 next season.

Why not just say "I don't want to sell Suarez to Arsenal because it'll widen the already cavernous gap between us and them"?

Bayern and Madrid clearly don't want him though.

Arsenal are a massive step up even if they buy no one as buying Suarez instantly makes them title challengers.

Nah don't see it. They weren't title challengers with RVP. They'll fight with Spurs for 4th.

He either stays at Pool or moves to a club that has a chance of winning the CL as well as domestic titles.

Arsenal are atleast 2-3 high quality players away from challenging the league title.After almost a decade of finishing between 3rd and 4th,i dont magically expect them to win the league.The competition is too much in EPL right now.Lets be realistic here.And the team is nowhere near a CL contender so its quite pointless wanting to move to a team just because they play CL football every year.I dont know whats going on in his mind though.Crazier things have happened before.
