Hell be sold next summer for sure. If he has trouble finding starts in bigger games now, will be even worse next year, with Neymar and other players likely coming in

Plus by then we'll have a better idea what wilshere's role should be.

Arsenal's biggest problem this season was a lack of goals. Biggest solution to solving that problem would be signing a WC #9 but Cavani, Lewa, Falcao etc are/were too expensive and it looks like you're main targets Higuain/Jovetic are also out of your reach.

So of Cesc is available of course you move for him. We all know he'll provide goals and also create for others. Seems like some of you don't want him back because of Wilshere's development but in the 2 years since Cesc has left he's already shown he can't be trusted for that #10 role. Not only is he constantly injured but he's rubbish in front of goal and still hasn't developed a final pass.

It's amazing how some of you are under rating Cesc, you'd be forgiven for thinking this was the Barca section. When he was at Arsenal you competed for the title before faltering late on, these days you're out of the title race by November and then end up battling Spurs for fourth. Huge difference.

Of course he'd improve you.

Putting Cesc into the team isn't suddenly going to turn Giroud into a 25+ goal a season striker.

Wilshere's performed well at the team's #10. There's more to the role than just the final pass.

Nobody's underrating Cesc. If the issue was just quality then I'd be joining the people saying it'd be a no-brainer to sign him, but there's a whole heap of other factors to consider that makes this more complex than just replacing player x with player y.

Yes, by next year Cesc would definitely have to weigh his options if he fails to truly make waves at Barcelona and by then Rosicky will most likely be gone, Arteta will be a year older and the midfield will be more settled in terms of position definition since it was only a matter of months ago that Ramsey was playing on the wing. Laughing

Cesar

Quality keeper and the fact that he's turning 34 in September means he won't hurt Szczesny's career seriously but will provide short term competition until he's ready or at least give us some more time to observe Shez' progression and if it stalls, invest in a new keeper.

Buying Cesc would never come close to costing AFC 25m. We get half of whatever Barca sell him for plus I think I have heard that they still owe us something like 10m. If these numbers are correct and Barca were to sell him to anyone for the reported 25m. It means that they would actually get about 2.5m.

Balaguesays #AFC offered 4-year deal to Villa in Jan - but now delaying an approach. As expected, seems to be below others on shortlist.

Arsenal probably seeing if they can get Jovetić (or even Higuaín or Rooney) before going back in for Villa. I still think Villa will arrive.
