Why is there a lot of talk about 'Bayern's/Germany's era' starting?

Since when did Real Madrid's era start? It was just Barca's era since 2008. Real Madrid's era didn't start.

Also Bayern play basic football unlike Barca. Part of the reason Barca looked unbeatable was due to their style. Any elite team would be able to beat Bayern next season.

Its just sensationalist media rubbish. All I hear is "the Germans will dominate now". How??

Dortmund will lose most of their better players and Leverkusen & Schalke cant splash as much as Bayern, so it has no bases for domination.

The elite will always end up at the big spending clubs, most of which will be in the EPL with the huge TV revenue

A lot of people don't rate Bayern because they don't have an international superstar like Rooney, Neymar, Balotelli, Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta etc. Hence the ordinary tag.

That should change once Pep & Gotze arrive.

Robben/Ribery are 10 times the international stars than likes of Rooney/Neymar/Balotelli though.

In terms of popularity Robbery are well behind those three even those they're better than all three.

If Robben had a mohawk he'd be much more popular

Bayern beat Tito's Barca, which has slightly different tactical adjustments to Pep's. Barca's era came to an end when Pep left.

In terms of Bayern beating Barca, Inter and Chelsea beat them too. Yesterday Dortmund created enough chances to win the game. Not saying Bayern are poor or anything, because they are impressive and I want Real Madrid to have certain tactics like them. Like their defending, ball retention etc. However under Pep they might play differently to how they are now.

I'd say Barca looked more unbeatable during their peak compared to Bayern due to their style. Bayern's football looks more basic compared to Barca's during their peak. It looks more beatable imo.

... maybe... but the way they combine possession with fast-paced football doesn't seem that basic to me.

LOL keep thinking that. This Bayern team, if they don't lose their hunger, will retain the CL next season without much trouble.

Yeah true lol. Luck also plays a big part.

If Bayern retains it, then they will go down in history with the likes of Herrera's Inter.

But CL has never been retained since the new format. Bayern may as well be the best team going into the next season, but sometimes luck plays an important part.

Luck plays a very important role in success.

Even last night, Dortmund could have easily won if certain decisions went their way etc etc.

He played false 9 in the last matches and he was a starter alongside Reus, Muller and Ozil in the front 4.

thats because gomez and klose werent available.Im not going into the "should he or shouldnt he start" debate, fact is that,as of right now,Low doesnt consider him a starter

The talk started when everyone started to realise just hwo good this Bayern side were, and even more so concluded to many after they beat Barca 7-0.

They are good in all aspects. But there are many factors needed together to sustain such level for an era which would be a few years at least I think. If Pep is able to maintain it then they surely can do that.

Had the offside goal not counted for Dortmund, then the final 4 would of been between 3 Spanish teams and 1 German. Even if Bayern won, La Liga getting 3 of the final 4 (which is what should of happened), then no one would be talking about Bundis coming up but instead talking about how impressive it was La Liga to have so many teams reach the final four in the last 3-4 seasons in the UCL and Europa League combined.

I love watching Dortmund play, but with so many guys rumored to be leaving its going to be hard for them to keep it up. Bayern on the other hand has reached now 3 UCL Finals in like what...4 years? thats insane and an even better record that Peps Barca. Difference was that when Barca reached the final they would win it. Bayern are now getting more over powered which is crazy, but Dortmund on the hand is gonna get nerfed. The rest of the Bundis teams are still gonna compete as usual but arent "coming up" just cause Bayern spent big.

Stop the Malaga-BVB thing...Malaga's second goal was as obvious of an offside.

People like mt is everything that's wrong with football these days, they make you believe every transfer in this world is going to happen. Falcao and Cavani have been playing at Chelsea/City/Madrid for the past 2 seasons now, Suarez has one leg in Juve, one in Munich, and his balls in Barca, etc.

BVB are receiving 55 Milliion Euros from their CL campaigns !!! they can buffen up financially with that money, not to mention the sale money of Judas.

I can start a rumour linking mt to Bigsoccer or Sportsczy to TTF, but it doesn't mean it'll happen. I'm amazed at how easily people are writing BVB off.

Their model is very sustainable for long-term, unlike inter's 2010 model.

^^Malaga's second was offside too, let's not forget that.

As for Dortmund getting picked apart in the transfer market, it's not happening as just Santana, Goetze and maybe Lewandowski are leaving, but I think Dortmund will keep Lewa and let him go for free next year. I think it's pretty clear that at least one of KDB and/or Eriksen is coming to Dortmund next year and with CL money and Goetze money (potentially Lewa money too) Dortmund can buy some good players to fill in for what is coming out.

Add to that the world saw what Dortmund without Goetze will be like and they still played very well and as the only team that really troubled Bayern during the CL run this year. Next year Dortmund could line up something like:

Weidenfeller
Piszczek/Grosskreutz-Hummels-Subotc/Sokratis-Schmelzer
Bender/Kehl-Guendogan/Sahin
KDB/Eriksen-Reus-Kuba
Lewa/Dzeko?

Also Bernard could be coming and Leitner and Bittencourt could be ready for bigger roles. So overall, I think that this team could compete in the CL again. Plus Schalke don't have a bad team if they were more consistent.

^^ Klopp's primary task this summer should be improving on Bender. Gundagon had to do it all himself last night and hence he faded. If he had a partner like Martinez, things would have been very different.

I do agree but mainly because Kehl is getting older and for a player like that you will likely tire quicker.

Obviously majority of signings should be to improve the depth.

Their bench compared to Bayern is a joke but obviously Gotze and Lewa have to be replaced first and foremost.

I think they can come out of it in a positive light though.
