Re: Bayerns attacking play vs. Wolfsburg
Some spectacular saves by Diego Benaglio indeed.
(*sighs* Unfortunately Benaglio's top form doesn't make it easier for Yann Sommer to get past him in the Swiss NT...)

Re: Bayerns attacking play vs. Wolfsburg
Visiting Wolfsburg were all but powerless to stop Bayern extending their superb winning run in the Bundesliga on Tuesday. Germany's biggest club moved two points clear at the top of the table with their 50th all-time home win during the Oktoberfest season, but although boss Jupp Heynckes felt his team were “up for it physically,” he was not 100 percent happy: “We could have scored more," he stated.
Reaction to Bayern v Wolfsburg:
Jupp Heynckes: “It wasn't as easy as the result and the number of chances would suggest. We were up for it physically and allowed them very few chances. After we took the lead, we had any number of excellent chances but failed to score a second. Despite our dominance, it wasn't easy against Wolfsburg today, but once we'd gone 2-0 up, you could see it was done and dusted, and our opponents recognised they wouldn't take anything away from here. We could definitely have scored more goals today.“
Xherdan Shaqiri: “We wanted to carry on where we left off on Saturday. It was a very good game from our point of view, and we can be satisfied with the result, although we could have scored more. We have real depth in a very good squad, and we're capable of excellent football. If we're enjoying ourselves, we're difficult to beat.“
Mario Mandzukic: “You can see we're all enjoying it. Every one of us is fighting for the others out on the field, and that's how we want to carry on. I'm enjoying every day with this team.“
Felix Magath (Wolfsburg coach): “I'd hoped Bayern might not take us seriously after all their recent good performances. But my hopes were dashed straight away. Bayern immediately put us under pressure and played good football. We have to accept that Bayern are too good for us at the moment.“
Diego Benaglio (Wolfsburg keeper): “We've all seen that Bayern are a first-class team. They passed the ball smoothly, they picked up the pace at will and then slowed things down again. They kept coming at us and creating chances. In many situations, we were simply too far off our men.“
