‘Jovetic prefers Italian move’
The agent of Stevan Jovetic says his client would prefer to stay in Italy as Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella prepares for his exit.
The Montenegro international has been strongly linked with a move to English outfit Arsenal, but Juventus are also keen on the 23-year-old forward.
“Stevan would prefer to remain in Serie A rather than moving to a new country,” representative Fali Ramadani told Novosti.
Viola chief Andrea Della Valle this week admitted that the player could be sacrificed this summer, a fact that Montella is well aware of.
“He is a player of great talent, one who may have various ambitions,” the former Roma striker noted.
“If someone is ready to pay the right price for him then I know that there is the possibility of a transfer.”
Montella was also asked about the future of playmaker David Pizarro, whose agent this week claimed a Tuscan exit was on the cards for him.
“That was unexpected, a bolt from the blue, but I don’t know the precise details of what has happened,” the Coach explained.
“He’s a really good player. Let us wait and see whether our paths divide or whether we can continue together.
“A lot depends on what he wants.”
