How many games do you think Di Maria last in L1 before he gets injuredMr Nick09 wrote:sportsczy wrote:http://www.rmcsport.fr/editorial/383750/monaco-s-est-aussi-renseigne-sur-di-maria/

Lol, Ligue 1 is such a joke.
The millions PSG and Monaco have spent haven't improved Ligue 1 whatsoever.
It'll eventually turn into La Liga Mk2 and no one in the World cares enough about PSG and Monaco to watch a two team League.
Forever a 3rd tier competition with infinite replay angles.

As far as other Porto players... Mangala although i doubt it happens. Isimat-Mirin is the most likely CB.

Their big spending makes them quite popular this lately.
See if they can make the world pay more attention to them or not.

Weather sucks in western europe right now. Thinking of going to Moscow to get some sun lol.
Free... Falcao landed in Monaco last night and getting his medical done today according to reports. He'll either be announced this afternoon or tomorrow. Btw, Victor Valdes is expected in Monaco today too.

Re: AS Monaco superteam
This is a pure money choice. Monaco is coming back from L2, plays no european football and has no fans. There were dozen of better teams to pick.
Monaco is also in legal trouble and that could turn out to be a mess with the French Federation.
They don't want to move their siege to France, which is now mandatory to take part in L1 and they are also doing transferts before the official windows. He is takings risks.

Re: AS Monaco superteam
L1 has zero chance of winning that legal battle. Monaco has a commercial treaty with the EU and France. L1 is just trying to get some money with a settlement... but Monaco knows they have no case and is taking them to court.
No chance of that going anywhere. That's why you hear Le Graet and Thiriez keep saying that it will not go to court... because it can't for their sakes lol.
Monaco has had these fiscal benefits forever. It's only become news because they have a billionaire owner now. But he's not the type to get blackmailed without a solid case.

LFP can win.
They don't have to accept any team in their league. They accept who they want. Exemple: Celtic isn't accepted in the BPL.

Re: AS Monaco superteam
EU and National commercial treaties have higher jurisdiction than L1, FFF or any other footy agency. They have absolutely zero chance of winning and everyone knows it actually. That's why Monaco is going about its business like nothing's wrong, the players are signing and even the media is pretty much ignoring it.
It's a pathetic attempt to extort money from Monaco and it won't work because it's legally moronic. FFF and LFP were hoping that Monaco would pay them off to avoid the headache... but they lost that bet.
Celtic was never part of EPL so there was no precedent. Monaco has been competing in french leagues since forever. LFP and FFF would need to break the contract and they have zero legal basis for it since nothing has changed with Monaco and its status to make an argument. It's not even comparable.

Monaco has a huge chance of losing.
They are basing their legal action on the free circulation of people in the european union.
Big problem, they aren't part of the european union and this doesn't apply to them. And the signed no agreement on that as well. They have no ground.
If the clubs want it, they can bypass any juridiction and create a league disconnected from administation that they could administrate as they want.

Re: AS Monaco superteam
Yes they are part of the European Union partially by treaty. Just like the UK is to a certain extent although they do not share currencies. When the EU was formed, separate treaties were signed with the UK, Monaco, etc.
Again, every lawyer you talk to laugh at LFP and FFF's extortion attempt.

Re: AS Monaco superteam
Say what you want about the way Monaco are going about this but Ligue 1 wil lbe fascinating next season. Along with PSG there is as much world class talent as is any league in Europe.
And with Marseille & Lyon playing catch up it will be interesting to see how they try and keep up.

In all this treaties, there are no words on the freedom of circulation, Monaco has really no ground. They aren't part of the European Union, they don't follow european rules, yet they expect to have the advantage of the european legal system?
Nice try, the leaches are going to be denied this right if they go on that ground.
The UK is part of the european union, Monaco isn"t. You are mixing up a lot of things. Monaco has euro, UK has not. But UK is in the UE while Monaco isn't at all.
The league is french competition and of course only clubs following french rules should be part of it. Monaco has been tolerated so far, it does not mean they have a divine right to play with us.

Don't forget Lille. Bordeaux has a new stadium being built too. Nice is inaugurating Allianz Riviera this coming season and it will be interesting how they progress.... they go from a 19K stadium to a 36K stadium lol.

OL there was a thread posted a few weeks back with an article in it saying that players like Falcao and Hulk have very little to no say in who they play for because the majority of their rights are owned by investment groups, you should read that before passing judgement

Iceland are not part of EU but they got a European bail out when their bank collapsed in 2009.
If Monaco are part of EEA then this freedom of movement still applies (I don't know wether they are tho)
