Well, damn. That is something new. Truthfully, Milan is doing the whole "signing young players' approach so maybe Galliani is just talking truth.

Milan's average age isn't very high if I'm not mistaken. I'd also argue that Puyol despite being the legend he is is too old for any top club to be playing consistently.

Someone who's paying attention to what Milan are trying to achieve
Although that isn't to say i wouldn't want Puyol, i've already explained why he can be a good transfer in the Summer Transfer rumors thread

They already have Mexes who is old and breaking down. The roster spot for this type is taken

Gallaini-Puyol is too CB for DMilan.
jk
That's something Barca would say though. (I'm making a joke about Barca playing DM's in the CB position)

Re: Galliani: Puyol is too old for MIlan
Ah the Milan age jokes again
Considering our average age of our starting squad is 24 (don't even get me started on our bench age) so Puyol is ineffectively too old for us.
In case anyone hasn't noticed, we've scrapped signing big and completely focusing on our primavera and international youth signings.
And Mexes isn't breaking down. He has been our only good CB this season and has been a general in the back.
Though honestly, old or not I would welcome Puyi with open arms.

He is a part timer, he seems even older than he is because his size of the years has been balls to the wall and he is not paying the price for that style. He plays half a season.
Cant blame Milan, or anyone elite or looking to be elite with not being real intrested.

Milan have shown the propensity to revitalize careers of past their prime legends, recently under Allegri and before. Puyol's leadership & ability to train the up-coming prospects or at least Christian f**king Zapata would be worth its weight in gold. Milanisti would like him yet his frequent injuries are the cause of scepticism onto how he would succeed in Milan.
I want him because he is my god damn hero after his Euro and WC exploits.
Doubt the reports ever were concrete though as only his open fan-ship of Milan probably spawned these reports.

De Sciglio is 20
El Shaarawy is 20
Niang is 18
Balotelli is 22
We have signed Saponara (20) and Salmon (20) and Cristante (19) is being groomed for first tea.
Seriously Milan is old jokes is now, *puts on sunglasses* old.

galliani says puyol is too old... but we are linked to kolo toure...
if we sign toure... it would make him 10 times a bad hypocrite...
more like we are worried about puyol's salary.
anyway though milan is focusing on youth and it shows that we have signed and played youth players and next season is going to be interesting.
