Player awards for this season

Just a discussion more than anything but lets talk about things like:

- Best player
- Most improved
- Biggest suprise

I don't think most would argue with the fact that Mata has been our best player this season but at times he has been awfully quiet(woeful against Liverpool imo). Other players that I think deserve a mention would be Azpilicueta and David Luiz, Luiz has really come in leaps and bounds for me, he's slowly erasing the stupid decisions from his game and when he does so he's really a force to be reconed with, especially this past month he's been very solid for me add to that his passing game and we have a fantastic cb on our hands(not that we didn't already know that ).

Your thoughts?

- Best player
Mata followed by Hazard, Ramires and Cole IMO

- Most improved
?? Luiz has a bit but only recently under Benitez

- Biggest suprise
Azpi although I did rate him quite highly before he joined us, i didn't expect him to take over RB so effectively

Biggest surprise - Azpi/David

Best Player: Mata, he the mayne!

Most Improved: David Luiz, i agree with you, witnessing his progress is great and he is becoming one of my favorite footballers

Biggest Suprise: I would have to say oscar, great complement to mata and hazard

But I definatley have to say Lampard has been the most consistent and best chelsea player thus far, and hope he makes those last three goals, and of course I have to mention hazard, I feel next season he will become devastating!

Next season is going to be awesome when Hazard is fully settled in with Oscar and Mata. Get somebody who can consistently put away chances and it will be beautiful. I think both him and Oscar have had their moments of brilliance but seeing that on a more consistent basis will be great.

Best-Mata

Biggest Surprise-Moses. (Dont you all remeber saying he was uneeded at the start of the season?) and Oscar

Most improved-Mikel

Player of the year- Mata hands down.

Most Improved- Cant think of a senior player, i have always rated Luiz so highly so not for me. So i would go with youth player, and for Lewis Baker has improved the most.

Biggest Surprise- Azpi

I loved that Mata goal

Amazing goals to hard to choose the best but I would have mata vs Newcastle in that video.

It is sad, I really like Marko Marin, and when I heard of his signing I was looking forward to it. But ultimately I think its premature to say he is useless, Chelsea bought him and stagnated him, they aren't doing anything to see his progression, even tho we was whining off at his previous club, he has that talent, it sucks to see him regressing.

Yeah it's a shame what has happened with Marin but every time i've seen him he's been quite poor and very predictable, runs down and cuts inside every single time.

I hope Luiz doesn't get goal of the year. That was his first goal from like 100 shots outside the box. It will only encourage him to keep shooting

Mata has to be player of the season.

Biggest surprise is Azpilicueta.

So the Player of the Year ceremony will NOT be aired live on Chelsea TV this year
