Re: Gomez: 'Inter and Juve offers'
Also how can you explain why Jupp Heynckes puts him on the bench and plays Mandzukic???
And about his mentality,of course no one likes to be benched but i read some news a few days ago when Gomez agent said he was going to leave Bayern cuz he doesn't gets playing time.At Juve,Conte always plays who is on form so anyone should accept starting from bench when not on form.
I think hes not Juve type player,he may be good but not what Juve need...

Mandzukic is much better for the team. He works his ass off but he is also decent infront of goal.
Gomez is a great finisher but he's developed a reputation of choking on the biggest stage.

Re: Gomez: 'Inter and Juve offers'
He *is* considered a top striker (I won't put a number to it as that's something I consider rather silly). Mario Gómez just had the problem that he got injured in the very beginning of the season and had to undergo surgery which took him out for almost 4 months. In that time, Mario Mandzukic stood in for him and he played so well in the Bayern system that Jupp Heynckes had problems to justify benching him again.juvealbanian wrote:Stats show that he is right behind Messi when it comes to finishing...but why he is not considered a Top 5 striker than?
Well, the clubs know how difficult it is to pry away Bayern players from Bayern if they still have a running contract. Remember when some clubs wanted Ribéry a while ago and Hoeneß just put a "not for sale" tag to him and even ignored 50+ mio Euro bids? So other clubs usually do not even try to inquire for important Bayern players.juvealbanian wrote:I mean Falcao,Aguero,Cavani etc are all above Gomez,ManU and other teams are ready to pay 60+ mln for them not for Gomez.

Re: Gomez: 'Inter and Juve offers'
I don't get the unreasonable "hate" for GOmez.. He's a very clinical striker and for those who watch bayern games regularly (this season he was kinda unlucky with his injury) you can recognise his obvious instinct for scoring goals... He's a killer in the box, his positioning is world class, remember what he did to Real Madrid's defense on Bernabeu.. Even his technique is not that bad as people make it seem.. About some weeks ago he scored a beautiful goal after running past defenders (i don't remember what game it was, an away one, maybe RWO can help)..
I'd be more than content with having Gomez as our top striker!

He's not the type of striker we need. Juve would still need a top SS even if they signed Gomez. I'm not saying Llorente is one of the best strikers, but he is coming in as a our top CF. Next, Juve needs a striker that can hold the ball, create, and finish when needed. Gomez is fine, but he's not that guy.

well, if we play with the same system we could pair Gomez with Vucinic, the german would benefit from Vuci's creativity and wing play, since we use crosses when we can't open defenses in the centre, he'd be a good target man, same with LLorente.. My guess is that he is more prolofic than Llorente both at scoring goals and creating danger and finding spaces behind the defense, however the spanish may be better at holding the ball.
