Yeah Dortmund having low Possession and yet to lose a game.

Juventus giving up possession in a few games, undefeated too with the 2nd highest amount of goals. But nope, Possession is more important than the result(s)

all of those posession lovers are probably barca fans or new to the game of football and see barca doing it then therefore think every other top team needs to have posession to win and "dominate"

We have Inter on the 30th of March before this game(2nd April).

We have a 9 point lead in Serie A ,i know its a derby but i'd like if we rest some of our important players in the league game.(I think we'll do so anyways).

I think our B-team are capable of handling Inter either ways (GOATBa will handle them).

We won't be parking up, however we'll allow Bayern to come at us and then break. For those who don't watch Juve when they do this please don't judge Pirlo because he's not being allowed to control the game. You will see him on the edge of the box dribbling away and being pulled down/giving away the ball because of our tactics. If we actually keep the ball he's still Godlike.

Thing is if we try and play "posession" if they shut down pirlo were fkd lol we haven't got enough technical ability on the flanks to pull it off lichsteiner and asamoah are predictable and just play crosses and simple passes so they will just break us on the counter. we are better to PTB and press like milan vs barca IMO.

TBH, before the Milan throbbing I would've said I prefered Barca as Bayern opponent, that tells you how much I actually know about football. Not that much, apparently.

Juve will only do that in Munich. And if Juve feel they can control the midfield (like they did at Chelsea), they'll push up as the game continues. At Turin, it will be an attacking Juve.

While that's true, that domination might end pretty quickly once you're up against Bayerns midfield.

Juve is Bayern's worst nightmare.Licht and Chellini against Ribery and Robben/Muller.Pirlo will outplay Shweini and half the job is already done.

Fair enough

Barca played great against Milan but I don't think anything has really changed with them. I believe Bayern would give them a game and could win since they seem to be more well rounded.

i would rather vs barca then bayern tbh. conte wouldn't let our players get intimidated by barca's crowd he would probably scare barca's manager at home plus barca have no defence.( in b4 captain obvious)

This will be the biggest test Bayern's midfield has come up against imo. Juventus's midfield won't get more possession imo (at least not away from home) but they are good on the ball and as we all know there's possession and then there is effective possession.

Worst opponent we could get imo. We are the underdogs here and even if we crash out I hope we make it tough for Bayern. (although I'm secretly hoping for a sweet revenge)

Barca's defence is actually the humility and humbleness of tiki taka as well as the spirit of Cruyff.

I agree that Juves style are pretty much the worst that can happen to Bayern at this point, but TBH great as Lichtsteiner and Chiellini might be - nobody can contain those wingers for the entirety of a two-legged tie.

Lahm had CR7 quiet as well against Real, and he still scored. I really wouldn't overestimate what is possible as a defender, at some point attackers will just avoid you for one or two attempts.

If either team wins here, it'll be a collective effort and not a matter of "omfglol look how X dominated Y".

I agree with Viva on this. Because no matter how well a defender does, he can still have won his duel on the night by a mile and yet let one or two chances get by (Which is close to being unavoidable) and that chance just might result in a goal.

I know. I'm the first guy to preach that possession isn't worth anything if you aren't doing anything with it. If you just keep possession for the sake of it, you're basically not parking the bus, but having the vallet circle it around the club. Still the same effect, though.

You need to actually create.

Juve will let Bayern have the ball in both legs IMO and look to put Vidal and Marchisio on Schweignsteiger and Martinez/Gustavo and try to nick the ball and spring.

I have seen them too much in KO stages/big games under Conte to be surprised by them.

They will know Bayern will look to dominate the ball and will look to exploit the spaces they vacate.

Should be a very good tie.
