Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
Amelia has refused a move to Cagliari so Amelia-Marchetti swap is off at the monent [gazzetta].
Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
THIAGO SILVA says he will stay at least until 2016 and he hopes Ganso can be there with him.
The Brazilian signed a new contract few weeks ago that ties him to Milan for another five years, rejecting the likes of European Champions FC Barcelona in favor of a Milan stay and he has no plans of leaving soon.
“Next year I will play in Milan. And my No.1 objective will be to try to win the Champions League,” the defender told Gazzetta.it on Thursday. “I will stay at Milan until the end of my contract. Then, we’ll see.
“I’ve just signed an agreement that ties me to the Rossoneri until June 30, 2016.”
Silva has been talking about Ganso every time he’s interviewed and also today he spoke about him. Milan watched Ganso winning the Copa Libertadores last night, and Thiago hopes to convince Ganso to join him.
“When we leave for the Selecao [Copa America], I’ll stay close to Ganso and convince him that nothing is better than Milan,” Thiago Silva of the 21-year-old who plays the No. 10 role behind the forwards.

Is loaning Poli to Cagliari part of some co-own deal?
I would prefer we sign him outright and loan
He wouldn't be THAT expensive

In my opinion, Amelia is better than Marchetti, all I saw of Marchetti is flopping in the world cup and in big games.
Amelia is far superior in stopping penalties (you just can't score a penalty against him), and on his day, as we seen vs Udinese game (2nd game) is pretty much unstoppable, even though he sometimes flops, he is young, and in a couple of years time, I think we can recognise him as Milan number one.

Amelia makes errors that would make Almunia blush. Marchetti is a lot better than him.

The truth is that nobody has no idea in wich form Marcetti is now. As long as Abbiati will be our 1 gk. I don't care about 2 choise.

Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
What's the need of buying Poli and loaning him out immediately?
He wouldn't cost much, that's for sure but he just isn't a youngster who needs to gain seria a experience cos he's got that over the last two years.
He's good enough to be a back up in our mid atm, so i think it'd be best if we just signed him and let him stay at least for some much needed big stage experience which CL football has to offer

I'd rather have us stick to amelia than sign marchetti. I used to hold marchetti in high exteem until his world cup showings.
Imo, he isn't even good enough to be a back up at milan

I would be fine with loaning him out once we purchase him. With Mark Van Bommel probably having his final season with us he can take of that role with ease once he is gone.

He'd need to stay to learn the basics about playing in a team fighting for top honours so he'd be able to slot in perfectly and thrive on the big stage when his time comes

Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
French midfielder Mathieu Flamini is eager to extend his stay with AC Milan after a successful 2010-11 season.
Flamini, who joined the Italian champions from Arsenal in 2008 as a free agent, has one more year left on his current contract.
The 27-year-old made 22 league appearances last season, playing an important role in Milan’s first Serie A title win since 2004. He also featured in five Champions League matches.
Flamini is now hopeful of winning European silverware with Milan, and told the Corriere dello Sport: "It is my intention to remain at this club and extend my agreement with Milan.
"There is no rush, though. We will speak in the future when the right time arrives. After winning the league title this year, I want to try to win the Champions League."

Flamini should definitely remain. He does all the dirty work for the superstars. I can appreciate those type of players.

6 months ago I would've asked for Flamini's head
But after his Bologna goal
and his respectable form at the end of the season
We better keep him
He's one of our hardest working midfield players. We'll give him another season

Pfft Van Bommel doesn't handle the dirty work. Plus he's on his last leg.

Marchetti is way better than Amelia.
And we must keep Flamini. He's a very good, important player. I hear he'll take a reduction to 2.2 million per annum. And Van Bommel is a class player. Will people stop stating this misconceptions about VB and Flamini? Do you watch much Milan? Van Bommel cleans up a lot, and Flamini charges up field enabling build-up play. If you don't want that go cheer on Arsenal... but they haven't won anything in many years.

Flamini really impressed me, that energy he brings is always excepted. Kill me, but it's a bit Gattuso like.
