Re: Juventus Stadium new name!!!
Just hearing the commentator reading out ''Gianni Agnelli Stadium'' would make my heart skip a beat. I don't think they are gonna rename the stadium anytime soon though.
Having said that,'Delpiero Stadium' or 'Delpiero Arena' would trigger waves of nostalgia. However, I think Italy's laws won't allow for someone's name to be given to a monument, road, stadium etc unless that person has been dead for at least five years.

With all the respect and love for Gianni Agnelli, i would name the stadium Del Piero Arena-Stadium, because ADP proved to be a living legend in every aspect in and out field, and his request not to retire number 10 was mighty.
I would name a part of the stadium Gianni Agnelli, the most important part.

they can divide the areas like whole museum and restaurant area to be named Gianni Agnelli and the Stadium Del Piero Arena

Re: Juventus Stadium new name!!!
Well Samsung started negotiating with Juve for the stadium to be renamed to ' Samsun Arena. Samsung in translation means 3 stars that's one of the reasons according to the reports, they are also ready to splash some cash.

according to this law, they cant name the stadium after ADP.
Juveman is right, boniperti brought in the team the person who would break all his records. And gianni agnelli kept juve a world class team.
not sure which would be better.

Stadio Gianni Agnelli would be better since there wouldn't be a Del Piero vs Boniperti argument and since Agnelli was our greatest ever president.

Honestly it doesnt sound too bad imo.The board is probably going down the practical route(if you know what i mean) which sounds about fair i guess.

Re: Juventus Stadium new name!!!
I always said on this forum that stadio Del Piero sounded right.
It would be nice to have a nostalgic, meaningful name but as far as names go, you can do much, much worse then samsung. And if they pay out handsomely then go for it.
At the end of the day, Agnelli, Boniperti, ADP etc all live on in memory and we don't need a stadium name to remember them by. Money would help the club and that's an interesting translation from 'samsung' to 'Three stars'
Perhaps it was meant to be.

Re: Juventus Stadium new name!!!
Yep its kind of bullshit. Its a cool name but I don't like sharing the name with Bayern.
Apparently way back then we got our stadium financed and sold the right to sell the naming rights for 75m. Now the company finally sold the name.

Re: Juventus Stadium new name!!!
Allianza/allianzo/allianzi are decent names, at least it sounds Italian.
I guess i'm more a traditionalist, that's why i absolute dislike our recent rebrandings. Slap in the face after slap in the face for the Old Lady these days.
Thank god we have a great team so it doesn't matter for the moment. If we finished 3rd with no CL final most fans would have gone apeshit over this.

This one is not on us though, we sold the rights to finance the stadium so we didn't actually choose Allianz.
