Juventus Stadium to host Italy

Italy’s World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic at the start of next season will be played at the Juventus Stadium.

The tie, set for September 10, 2013, will be the first Italian international to be hosted at the new home of the Old Lady.

After six games played, Italy are four points clear of second-placed Bulgaria and five ahead of the Czech Republic.

Italy’s next qualifier will be on September 6, 2013, when Palermo will stage the tie against the Bulgarians.

The last time the Azzurri played in the city of Turin, at the Stadio Olimpico, was when Marcello Lippi’s side beat Bulgaria 2-0 in September 2009.
