Barcelona looking toothless
Watching the second half of today's clasico, what strikes me the most is that Barcelona game feels completely toothless. Messi making some runs, but nobody following and no offense created when the Real defense is in place.
They still pass the ball well, but watching this match, it feels that Real is completely safe and has nothing to worry. That's strange and a big change with the Barcelona that was able to make 10 passes inside the box.
I think Mourinho and Real totally figured them out.

Or maybe Roura is just clueless and that Guardiola was actually a pretty decent manager?

Re: Barcelona looking toothless
Since Ronaldo came on, it is a total real domination. Barcelona conceding countless faults, corners. Real threatening on every freeckicis, Morata missing a 1 vs 1.
Real was holding well and when Ronaldo came on the pitch, they went up a gear. Even after Ramos goals, it is all Real Madrid.

Re: Barcelona looking toothless
Well, the way clasico's has been played in the last couple of years favours Real Madrid style of play. Real Madrid loves it when a team "robbes" the ball of them and allows them to sit back and defend in numbers and then attack on the counters. But when a team does that to Real Madrid, wow they look even more toothless than Barca..
PS: I didn't see the last minutes of the game, but I heard that there was a clear penalty on Adriano not given. Can anyone confirm if it was a penalty?

Barcelona looking impotent and totally powerless.
How many faults? Iniesta and Valdes losing their nerves at the end, Valdes even getting a post match red card. Real owning them hard.

Re: Barcelona looking toothless
If only Barcelona could have defended corners they would take more than half of Madrid's goals away. It is quite astonishing how the Barcelona board have left the situation uncovered for so long.
Can somebody tell me what they actually achieved by signing Song?

Can't decide which defines Madrid most, Refdrid, Divedrid or Thugdrid?

Re: Barcelona looking toothless
Pepe is not a diver as much as he is a man of the theatrics, which is way worse imo, he makes a little free kick seems little double homocide

Why? Because they can neutralize Barcelona attacks better than anyone else? You should stay on the topic.
Barcelona were the one doing the anti-game. How many faults did they do against Real players countering them? Countless.
Barcelona defense had to rely on an incredible amount of faults to try to survive. At one point, a few years ago, Real had to do it. Now, they feel safe enough and it's Barcelona who has to make these faults.

Re: Barcelona looking toothless
He'll most likely leave seeing he hasn't seen the playtime he deserves. Wherever he goes, he'd want guaranteed Champions League football so let's see if Arsenal can guarantee that, else they might see some of their stars leave.Lex wrote:They helped balance our books and finance a move for Villa in the summer

What is the point of that ? If barca actually deserved to get something from the game then it would be fair to point out the controversial decision in the end
Madrid won because they deserved to win, just like they deserved to win on Wednesday.
Barcelona deserved nothing.
