No he is very young, he needs a lot of experience for us to see how good he is. Talented prospect tho, given his size and skills, it's just normal for most clubs to want him now.

Kondogbia's not a "pure DM". Currently, he's playing something of a defensive midfield role for Sevilla, but his skills are better suited to a B2B role and he does get forward and support the attack. His style of play is very reminiscent of Abou Diaby; not as skillful, but does make better use of his strength and is better defensively (though that might not be saying much, since Diaby is hardly great at defending).

He has the capability of being an all-round midfielder, but is still a developing talent. He can sometimes dally on the ball and make the wrong passing choice, he can be a bit slow to react when defending and lacks a bit of stamina. His biggest strength is powering up the field with the ball.

So there's no reason why he wouldn't be able to play alongside a DM like De Jong.

Don't underrate Kondogbia. He just turned 20 and is an undisputed starter at Sevilla. He's only been playing top flight footy for 2.5 years... he's a Pogba clone from what i've seen, except he prefers to play on the right while Pogba prefers being central or left.

He's a B2B mid. Tall, physical and good technically.

If he were 25, 8-10 mil is his worth. But since he's only 20, you double that because he's nowhere near reaching his potential. My guess is that he'll end up going for 15.

We're looking to upgrade Khedira. Kondogbia is much more talented than Sami. He's much better suited to play alongside Modric since he's fast and covers a lot of area. Khedira is effective at what he does... but it has its limits. Personally, i think Khedira is ill-suited for 2-man midfield tactics and would be great in 3-man mids. Seems to me that Madrid is very intent on playing as many attacking players as possible... hence the 2-man mid is here to stay.

This is where it shows that you have never, ever seen him play. He's not a DM. He plays RCM for Sevilla and is played slightly out of position since they won't allow him to get too far forward as he's their best defender in the midfield.

NEWCASTLE United intend to mount another summer bid for Andy Carroll as they prepare a summer overhaul of their attacking arsenal.

The Journal understands that United are looking to recruit two strikers in the summer to supplement Papiss Cisse, with St Etienne’s Pierre-Emerick Aubeyemang another of their priority targets.

Pardew would certainly be keen to have a player like Carroll available to him once again, with the feeling that he may open up more possible routes of attack for Newcastle next season.

They will battle on until the end of this campaign with only Shola Ameobi, Yoan Gouffran and Cisse as their senior striking options. Moussa Sissoko has acted as a number ten since his move in January but that was only ever intended as a temporary move.

Whatever happens there is set to be a complete overhaul in the close season with several fringe men moved on and the likely departure of Fabricio Coloccini creating space for a new-look team. Pardew will also be given the green light to restructure it, with the United hierarchy intent on stability and backing their manager.
