Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
And varane didn'y get a red in the first leg for his last man foul on evra. smh.
this is a very bitter elimination to concede. Games shouldnt be decided like this. Tha ref has grabbed all the headlines of what was shaping up to be a great game.
im fuming!!

That was a red card, every single time. Regardless of whether Nani meant it or not it's dangerous play, you don't do stuff like that.

Bitter but fair, it was a red card without a shadow of doubt

His eyes were watching the ball the whole way. It's an obvious yellow lol.

Once again, intent doesn't matter. He kicked him straight in the chest and didn't get any of the ball. Clear red.
Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
Nani didnt even see the player, he assumed he was free to control the ball.
Dont see how anyone can say thats a red.
There is literally nothing different Nani could have done.

And Zlatan's red vs Valencia?
You know, reds like that happens week in week out. That was the correct decision. Time to move on.

Re: Manchester United vs Real Madrid discussion
I have to say, United players, their coach and fans should be absolutely proud of their performance. They showed why United has been the best English team in recent years. They don't have the money of City or Chelsea, they bring in British talent unlike Arsenal who constantly poach talent from foreign countries, yet they are always up there and often higher than the rest.
You have to give credit when its due. I wish I was a United fan right now, even though I know they are unjustifiably hurt.

Studs high, dangerously so (especially in Europe) I can't believe people aren't aware of the rules

Harsh call but highly blown out of proportion by GL's resident Premfaces. Studs up and above the pelvis equals red.
Real Madrid deserved to go through.

Oh and I dont know what rules people are reading where it says intent doesnt matter...the intent clearly does matter. Thats not my opinion, thats a fact.

Since we're talking about wrong calls. Why the f*ck isn't anyone bringing out the fact that our goal should've stood in the first half? We should've been winning by half time.

Agreed ffs. Saying this too. That was equally as big of a call as the red. Had we had a goal in the first half we would have gotten more counter attacking opporunities, which only benefits us.

except that nani had no idea arbeloa was even there.
he had his head turned to the ball and arbeloa came from his blindside...nani goes to control the ball and arbeloa is leaping for the header.
nani has no idea he is about to be back side pressured from arbeloa

Oh my the happiest day in the world has arrived. There are no EPL teams in the Quarters. You know what happened the last time when there were no EPL teams in the Quarters?
