This is how it will go:
marotta and gazzetta will go ballistic linking us with the best strikers in the world, marotta will say " were in the market for a top striker"
he will then troll us in typical Marotta fashion and say that llorente is that " top striker" then he will feel under pressure from fans critisizing him and the club, he will wait until the last day of the transfer market, bid for osvaldo and get rejected and will make a panic buy and get gilardino

Re: Italy vs Holland
Dat realism
What's going to go down is we'll be offering 5M for a 20M rated striker, up it to 6M over a 3 year installment with an option to co-loan on a temporary basis. The bid will get laughed away and BOOM. Within 5 hours of the rejected bid a new rumour will arise from the depths of the night, this rumour is just a faint glow in the distance. The name Gilardino can be heard as a faint whisper in the wind but suddenly IT WILL EXPLODE into 1,000 images of Gilardino wearing a mesh vest with 4 Juventus medical staff members eyeing him up and who can forget the big family picture with Uncle Beppe standing next to him infront of a trophy cabinet, smiling that wicked smile.
Beware Europe... Gilardino has come a knocking....

"Gilardino wasn't my first choice, unfortunately we could not come to a mutual agreement with Genoa for Floro Flores. The market is difficult, we have a smaller budget than other top clubs and the best choice was to buy 17 £5,000,000 players." 15 of which will be loaned out with no obligation to buy until they run out of contract and leave for nothing.

Re: Italy vs Holland
It surprises me why people don't mention how bad Pirlo has been... One of the worst players for Italia in last nights game, and has been pretty bad so far this season.
It is safe to say he is well past it.

Baresi my brother, don't try to derail the Marotta appreciation thread by having a go at Chuck 'Pirlo' Norris.
