Really? Thanks for the update my friend! We need his confidence back and hopefully he can now bench that clown from Middlesbrough.
Milan31 wrote:I am happy Borini is fit again. Everyone keeps slipping and it's annoying. Good match so far, first goal should not have happened, I don't know what Astori was attempting to do. Overall good first half, Italia woke up towards the end.

Italia kept passing tidy with some fluid combinations but typically of us in a friendly it was just ponderous with no sense of 'grinta' or effort. I'm glad Netherlands scored as otherwise we would have been Azzuri just coasting through. After the goal it was all Italian with Pirlo and SES being the most impressive.

pitch is as bad as italias defensive pressing, there was like 3 dutch players against 6 italians and we let in that goal .. pirlo has been crap and astori in a big game like this is risky, but then its what friendlies are for..

expecting trollotelli to score smoking

Cack performance from Santon so far :coffee:

Buffon showing why he's still one of the best in the business.Too bad Astori f*cked up on the goal.

And Maher looks like a good talent for the Dutch btw Thumbs up

Santon's been flawless bar the two times he slipped as otherwise he has held off his attacker and contributed in attack well.

Buffon has been pure class. Astori completely screwed it up the bidone

Expect to see a more spirited 2nd.

If Italia continue the 2nd half the way they ended the 1st, I expect a goal or two.

Surag is just trolling about Santon anyway. He has been excellent.

Substitution Jordy Clasie Jonathan De Guzmán
46′ Substitution Ola John Arjen Robben
46′ Substitution Andrea Pirlo Alessandro Florenzi
46′ Substitution Antonio Candreva Alessandro Diamanti

Glad to see Candreva off for Diamanti. Santon will have it tough vs Robben but he has marked out many better.

Florenzi for Pirlo makes sense since Florenzi will add what Marchisio does while Monty now can take central reign.

Insigne had a great game vs germany U 21 im dissapointed he wasnt called up to the senior national side today and put on one of the wings. candreva is nothing more then a solid serie a player we no what he can do he doesn't bring much to the team where as insigne is a far bigger talent.

What aside from taking 5 mins of the friendlies time? Very commanding and assured. His confidence strikes me as one who has played for Oranje for years. Stopped wonderful chance by SES and one by Balotelli as aside from that giving no answer to Italia in the with his aerial defence.

Osvaldo on for Balotelli

Verrati on for De Rossi.

Balo was creative and unselfish and aside from one shot was too lazy as a whole. Good to see Pablo on.

De Rossi while with some excellent passes lack his usual drive and is obviously short of match fitness. Verrati the perfect man to inject creativity.

That's true... I remember one epic post of yours before euro when everybody was making fun of italy's nt after a 3-0 loss in a friendly with russia, they said italy's so sh*t based on that game, and you anticipated that italy will go for, despite the premises taken from that game with great arguments... I'd like to see that qoute again, but don't know where to find it.

Abate summing up his evening with a crowd pleasing nutmeg on Robben. Beautiful.

Prandelli with a mind boggling substitution. SES off for Alberto freaking Gilardino  WTF

Barzagli for Rannochia. Excellent performance by Barza. Ball being passed by Netherlands down central as Robben cannot get through Abate.

Florenzi having a solid game but the whole line-up with Prandelli's subs is just highly unbalanced especially the front flank. Doesn't make sense. Don't get me started on the attitude.

Abate with a Beckham-esque cross to Osvaldo who misses a fantastic header to level the game. Brilliant Laughing

Edit: Krul with a world class save to deny Gilardino!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! ANDIAMO A CASA A TUTTI D'ITALIA!!

MARCO VERRATI!!!

Verrati with a stunning combination 1-2 with Gilardino as then Marco follows to smash it past Tim Krap to level it in the 91st minute.

Typical Italia in a friendly. Play like careless zombies throughout and level it with a clutch goal in the end.

Full time 1-1.

Is Gilardino the best play-making striker in the world right now?

I challenge anybody to name 1,000 more creative strikers in serie A. My point stands. :coffee:

You might be joking but that's what Gila has been doing for Bologna btw Laughing Our Gilardino is actually play a #10 role for them and excelling quite well which is why he was called up and playing directly behind Osvaldo. Laughing Evolved his game pretty well.
