Ramsey had a very good game - kept it simple, showed up everywhere in midfield, had a high pass completion rate, and a superb goal line clearance.

Not convinced yet, if Ramsey just keeps it simple I think he will be as good as Arteta.

Ramsey has the work rate and determination to play in Arteta's role, but he needs to develop more tactically and defensively to be able to play there consistently.

Ultimately, I feel he will be a better player in a role that doesn't require a lot of defending, like Wilshere. I see him as a similar sort of player to Cazorla, in that they can both produce passes of outstanding quality, but can sometimes try the difficult pass too often or try too hard to unlock defences. He plays better when alongside midfielders who will take the creative burden off of him - Wilshere, for example - so he can focus on keeping things simple and then picking his moments.

I also believe Ramsey will become a utility player like Ray Parlour; he's played in all three of our central midfield roles and on both flanks, like Parlour could do.

Maybe he actually did look good. Will need more time in that position to prove himself. There were some things he did different than Artetta that I actually liked more. It seemed like he had half as many back passes.
