Valdes will not renew

Handanovic has been good for inter so i don't really know why is he a scrub in this forum? honestly the arrogance of Real Madrid/Barcelona fans is really hard to tolerate

Handanovic I don't even know who he is, but I'm pretty sure that Valdes is better than Abiati or this scrub playing for Inter right now.

Regarding Hart, yes, he is better to him by a country mile. Also, he can play with his feet, which Hart can't.

So because you don't know him, he sucks?

Calling him a scrub shows how little you know. If you don't even know a player or have never even watched him play, how do you know Valdes is better than him?

If any Serie A midtable club GK is better than Valdes as it seems (Sirigu, Handanovic, Abbiati, etc), please, let me know who we can sign that is clearly better than him from a midtable italian club.

Football critics and statistical evidence both suggest Handanovic to be one of the best GKs in Europe this season. In fact, Handanovic have been better than Buffon this season and is the main reason Inter are not further behind in the league.

Hart has been good, but I think is overrated.

Sirgiu has always been one of the best GKs in Italy before PSG bought him, and he has been good for them. Abbiati in the other hand is a solid if not spectacular custodian for Milan. No one mentioned that Abbiati is better than Valdes.

You didn't even know two of these guys and yet felt comfortable enough to assume Valdes is better. For god's sake, most other barca fans are perfectly okay with him leaving. If he is that good, why would they be so.

Just to make it clear, I am not underrating Valdes, I am just saying that these guys minus Abbiati are all WC keepers, in his level or around it, and if you actually watched them you would know so.

I actually watched all of them, just not enough to go around pontificating.

It's ok to say Valdes is overated and he is not as good as some great and top dog GK like Cech, Neuer, Casillas, but going a step further and putting every GK that comes out from a mid table club in Italy ahead of him is ridiculous.

The fact is, using stats, Handenovic has been actually at the same level than those guys, having one of the highest save ratios in Europe. Being a midtable club keeper makes sure you are always in the limelight by the way. Neur had a much better ration when he was playing with Schalke.

Valdes will always be underrated becuase he plays for Barca. I for one see no shame in being lumped together with Handenovic. He is certainly up there with Cassillas, Neur, Buffon, and Cech. You say we are putting every midtable GK over Valdes, but I see no one actually doing that. Not to mention that what is the problem with that. Most superstars were midtable players once. Posters are only bringing in WC GK into the conversation. or promising youngsters.

Handonaovic is an absolute animal in goal to be fair.Been the best GK in Serie A this season and he was one of the best in the world when he was at Udinese.

Pity Inter wouldn't sell him.

Valdes was horrible for the past 2 seasons anyway.
Get a German, they're all good. Unnerstall, Ulreich, Fährmann, Trapp, ter Stegen, Zieler, Sippel - who gives a toss, they're all a step up.

I dont really agree. Handonvic is better and Hart is better. I only seen like 5 PSG games so I wont comment and yes I think he is better than De Gea right now.

We signed Rustu, who was a better goalie than Valdes at the time. But never got to play because he refused to learn the language.

Spanish is incredibly easy to learn, though. Especially if you have rudimentary knowledge of any other roman language, like Italian or French. Or Latin.
At least that's what I'm told, I don't speak Spanish

That being said, great keepers come pretty cheap, you can pay around the 10m mark to get someone who can comfortably hold his own in a UCL setting, so it's really not that big a deal.

Anyway I agree, we should be able to find a more than able replacement for a reasonable fee if we do a little bit of shopping around.

Missed the trick with Almunia

Someone here recently said that Guaita will be Casillas' successor for the Spain NT. Just asking: Why does he not start for Valencia? He's well behind Diego Alves in the pecking order, played only 2 La Liga games all season. Granted, the few times he has played, he looked very good. But what reason is there to bench hm? Diego Alves is also good but he is no Buffon now.

Yea thats going a little to far.

None of those keepers are superior to Valdes who is now being underrated for a few aspects now.

Firstly....Hart is not a top 3 GK, not even close on talent he maybe but he makes far too many mistakes which get ignored.

He's a good GK but he's far too inconsistent to even be mentioned in that ball park.

He is better than Valdes though and so is Handanovic who has been outstanding for a long time now.

As for Sirigu thats a tough one. IMO they are on a similar level although Sirigu is in better form right now.

Good Lord! We are very lucky then! We will sell Valdes at the end of the season for 10-15 milion and will get any scrubs like these you mention for peanuts.

Any german GK will do (Viva living up to his cliche... ). We can even sign our own Rwo, she is a girl but she is definitely better than Valdes too.

Same with Hart or Handanovic or whover, even if they make a lot of mistakes (mole's words), they are better than Valdes.

Thank god, we were the best team in the world with a road cone in the goal and I didn't know it. We will be unstoppable from next season...

They are both probably top 10 GKs, i rate Valdes always sticked up for him on this forum but theres no reason at all why Barca can't get an upgrade.

Also Hart and Handanovic won't be available for peanuts and i doubt are even on Barca's wishlist but they are very good GKs.

Take Mascherano, it's not like you'd ever play him in position anyway.

Should LLoris have stayed one more year at Lyon and he'd have been in pole for replacing Valdes ....

Valdes is the best GK with the ball in his feet. Thats why he is rated nowadays...
