Gabbiadini prefers Bologna to Juve
Manolo Gabbiadini admits it is nice to be wanted by Juventus, but Bologna represent an important part of his development.
The Italian Under-21 international, co-owned by Juve and Atalanta, joined the Rossoblu in the summer on a one-season loan deal.
The Italian champions, however, have made an attempt to recall him for the second half of this season.
“It is a pleasing to know that a big club like Juventus want you, but I want to play and find some consistency with Bologna,” the forward noted.
Bologna boss Stefano Pioli is also keen for the player to remain at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara this term.
“Manolo has to keep working hard as he is doing,” the tactician noted. “He has the qualities to become an important player and he has found some space here.
“His growth with Bologna can be productive for all of us.”
The Bianconeri have made Bologna a number of offers, but the club fighting to stay in Serie A are refusing to deal.
“Juventus have made numerous attempts, but Bologna will not let him go,” agent Silvio Pagliari commented.
“Manolo is gaining some good experience because he’s playing quite a bit.
“The fact that Juventus have called is something to be proud of. The fact that their directors have been so insistent is a factor that pleases me and the player.”

I've been saying this all along since people started mentioning Immobile, Boakye, and Gabbiadini for the January window. These guys will get more playing time and a better chance to develop with the teams they play for now, so it would surprise me if they came to Juve this month. Let's be realistic, if they come to Juve it will be as depth players. They are not going to start miraculously scoring tons of goals. I say leave all of them where they are now. We shouldn't make a poor and rash decision that will hurt our team in the long run just so we can get a fifth striker now.
