to me it looks like they gave them the last moment of glory in e09, such a massive upper can't be followed by another massive upper
plus it's been reasonably historically accurate (for a show with so much tits and cgi blood anyway) so far so hopefully they won't bury it with a fake win at the end...

Re: Spartacus: War of the Damned
Proper ending, that was
I felt like the eternal cliffhanger of them never finding out whether he lived or died, as was suggested in real life, would've cheapened the brilliant ending to this show. Writers made the right decision here.
I figured at least one of his main men was going to get crucified, but my money was on Nasir and not on Gannicus. Thought they would just cut him down where he was fighting like they did with Saxa and Naevia (damn that was heartbreaking ). I was actually truly surprised that Kore was crucified as well even I knew Crassus would punish her for turning away from him. Had she not defected, he still would've had to kill her since Ancient Roman law said that a slave who kills their master must die. So she was going either.
I feel like Laeta, Sibyl and the others probably should've been killed off by Pompey, but then that would've just been too brutal and overkill. One of Agron or Nasir shouldn't have made it though.
Overall though, this was a beautiful ending to a just stunning show. There will no doubt be calls for a Caesar spin off and they've got the right starting point with the mention of the First Triumvirate. There's plenty more material to go on from here so I have to believe that Starz won't ignore that.
Until then, I think I'll download Davinci's Demons and see how that is.
My final words in this thread will be.........Jupiter's cock

Re: Spartacus: War of the Damned
What an ending. Gannicus hasmd the most badass death ive ever seen. And i really like how Gannicus, Spartacus, and Crixus simply could not be beaten one on one. It took an army to kill Gannicus, and spears from behind to kill Crixus and Spartacus. Naevias death was also heartbreaking, even if she got annoying sometimes. Incredible way to end an incredible show. Also loved at the end of the credits how they showed Andy's Spartacus. This was perfect.
