Re: Persona 5
I'm also 60+ hours in, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot left for me to do. I haven't even completed the fourth palace, yet. Spent a lot of time grinding for cash in mementos
Now, if I can only get the required resources for the permanent lockpick...

Re: Persona 5
It took 89 hours and I didn't even finish all the Confidant links
Even by JRPG standards, that's a huge story.
Just as a heads up, December 24th is the last day in game before shit gets really crazy and you're railroaded all the way to the end. So get as much done as you can before then.

Re: Persona 5
I have done that palace, not done much grinding though. Spend most of my time outside of dungeons building up my own stats or relationships.

Re: Persona 5
I haven't really struggled at all other than one of the dungeons tbh.
Not that it's easy but i haven't felt the need to drop the difficulty or anything.
As for things i wish i knew? combat wise not really.
Only things i wish i knew was stuff related to social stats.. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-04-18-persona-5-social-stats-increase-knowledge-guts-proficiency-kindness-charm-4249
Nah i haven't finished, hardly played in last week or so i just can't be arsed to play games at all at the moment. I'll most likely get back to it tomorrow though.
Doesn't really reflect on the game, i just go periods where i'd rather lay in my bed and watch videos on Youtube
I'm close to 70 hours in atm though and it doesn't seem that close to completion.

Re: Persona 5
I've been playing it on Normal mode. It's not particularly difficult, nor too easy. Don't know why I'm telling you this, when you're going to set it to Easy anyway
The English dub is surprisingly decent.
If you want to maximize social links and do everything perfectly, I'll post a link to the guide below. I wouldn't suggest doing that, though. Didn't follow the guide myself, and I imagine it would sap the fun out of the game to do so.

You may want to check out the school test/exam answers, though.

Other than that, just enjoy the game. Make sure to download the free DLC that are available at the moment. Remember to pick them up from the storage shelf thing in your in-game attic/room, in order to collect them. I have a total playtime of over 90 hours myself, and I'm not done yet. Granted, I've wasted quite a lot of time grinding for cash and items in Mementos/Palaces - which isn't really necessary.

Re: Persona 5
My tip: Spend time making coffee. It'll make sense when you get there.
Normal difficulty isn't bad so long as you have good coverage and don't get ambushed. You can be seriously *bleep* if you get ambushed no matter how well prepared you are..

Re: Persona 5
Normal is good.
Had so much trouble beating the second boss, so I had to go easy after two hours. I had f'ed up. I had no skills that could hurt multiple targets which was required.

Re: Persona 5
I'm near the end of the game, and I haven't used coffee even once. You don't really need it, once you've gotten those SP replenishing trinkets from the quack doctor/death confidant, and I managed just fine without it. The second palace isn't really that difficult. Especially, if you manage to get the Shiki-Ouji persona from Mementos or the second palace itself. It's immune to physical damage and is super helpful in the third palace. Keep in mind that the stats of the persona you're using affects your character.
Str: Phys damage
Mag: Magic damage
End: Damage resistance
Agi: Hit/Dodge rates, turn order.
Luck: Crit chance, likelihood of applying debuffs.
Also, when working on building social links, having a persona that corresponds to the character you're socialising with, increases your appeal towards that character. For example, if you have a death-type persona, you'll get more points towards the next rank when you interact with the quack doctor.

Re: Persona 5
Making coffee is useful not just for the SP healing item, but for getting points with Sojiro on certain days. Makes it more efficient than just spending time with him. Early game it's really useful because Sojiro's confidant is tough to increase and SP healing is really limited.

They're mostly cosmetic, but some of them provide the materials required to make high-end weapons/equipment. Most of them also include different BMGs from past iterations, which is pretty nice since the original battle themes get stale after a while.

Re: Persona 5
what sort of setup did you guys use with your allies? I have it on free will atm but I imagine it's more beneficial as it gets tougher to make all the moves yourself

Yeah, full control for me too. Can't trust the AI to guard when you need to or preserve SP. Also have no idea how it handles Baton Passes either.

Re: Persona 5
Full control, in order to preserve SP. You're screwed if you spend all of your SP before encountering a phys-resistent boss/mob
have any of you completed the game, yet? I haven't had much time to play over the past few weeks, so I've been snailing through the

Re: Persona 5
so does the game open up later? i always heard how the game was a lot like a social life simulator and you have to manage your time well, anytime I want to go out at night etc it tells me I should just go to sleep and seems like it's keeping me focused in one direction, I imagine that's because I'm still in the early parts of the game where it's giving me tutorials, I should finish the first Palace tonight I imagine. Been playing like 6 hrs tho.
