but seriously ii just want to know if a simple man who knows chemistry can actually make drugs just like that or its the tv show's exaggeration, obviously the 99% is an exaggeration but what about lower numbers?

just curious, i know about the illegal labs for creating such a thing but i dont know what kind of knowledgable people are associated on creating it,
like do you need to have more than just a teacher's knowledge to achieve it?

I don't know for sure, but I know it wouldn't be extremely hard to make meth. I agree that someone with a college education in chemistry could do it. You could probably find out how to online, it's all a matter of actually doing it...which with a college education I have no doubt someone could do.

And a chemistry teacher...yeah I believe it's easily possible.

As a matter of fact, making Meth is rather easy, but getting the basic substances for is is made more and more difficult as they are not as easily available as a while before (at least in Germany the ingredients are now monitored, too).

Well, Walt is not exactly your average high school teacher. He is extremely overqualified, he did research which made people win Nobel Prize and found a company worth billions of dollars, I doubt that a high school teacher can actually cook meth. Depends on how good he or she is actually..

if someone who dropped out half way through high school can cook meth you get the feeling that someone with a college education in chemistry could do it too, like rwo said, its just getting the ingredients (and getting them in the right quanitity) that would be your challenge

People without any education about chemistry do manage to cook meth in here. Though they're probably taught by someone with knowledge for sure.

Walter is more than just a high school chemistry teacher (keep that in mind) - he's way over-qualified for that job and I'm sure all that "knowledge" helps him understand the actual process and procedure to growing such high quality meth.

I asked my brother this (chemistry grad) and he said it's probably not actually that hard and that he's very sure a chemistry teacher could do it. Even regular, relatively educated people could make meth, and you could probably find out how to do so somewhere online.

However, and he didn't say this, I'm sure it's dangerous to cook meth. Making meth isn't really hard, or so I'm told, it's being careful and not getting hurt in the process that makes it risky. That last part is not from my brother but from me.
