Juventus poised to sign Drogba
Juventus has made "significant progress" in its bid to sign Didier Drogba, who has agreed in principle to an 18-month deal with the Serie A champion, reports said.
The 34-year-old former Chelsea striker signed a 2-1/2-year deal with Shanghai Shenhua in July but the Ivory Coast star could be reconsidering his options after a disappointing start to his career in China. Reports on Saturday said Juventus had originally offered a six-month deal for Drogba while he was seeking a two-and-a-half year deal. A compromise now appears to have been reached, according to Gazzetta dello Sport's website which said yesterday both parties had agreed "in principle" to an 18-month contract.

Re: Juventus poised to sign Drogba
Milan have joined Juventus in the chase to sign Didier Drogba during the January transfer window, reports suggest.
The Italian champions are known to be keen on landing the former Chelsea man in the New Year to aid their Champions League bid.
However, it appears that the Rossoneri are also looking at the player who is thought to be keen on leaving Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua.
Milan could be in need of new attacking options given the possibility that Alexandre Pato and Robinho may both be sold after Christmas.
Drogba, who left Chelsea in the summer after eight years in London, will turn 35 in March.
