How safe is Ebay

Thinking of buying things of it, but don't know whether i should because i have never done it before. Amazon is another option but people say they are equally safe

Has anyone else bought anything off there??? if you did what was it?? how was the quality of it compared to the pic you saw off it??? did you get it at the right time??? was it used when it said it was new??

I brought many items off it, usually it takes longer than estimated time but I think this is due from me living Israel, I can say I was always satisfied; it's safe to buy from most people, see their feedback for how much money they made, usually any feedback over a 1000 is safe, have fun Wink

did you buy something that cost alot?? and was it in good shape?? the ones i have seen have some sort of star next to their name or whatever, is that safe??

i guess it depends on the rating of the guy you're buying from. Just use paypall to protect your CC info and read the trader reviews.

but hey, if you ask me i'd go with amazon if the item was available there as well

My family and I buy from it all the time. Before buying an item, check the reviews, a star is a good thing, avoid sellers without them.

The most expensive thing I bought costed around 200$, it was in perfect shape. And yes, a star is a good thing and is usually safe.

I only purchase from top rates sellers in the US.
So far I'm 4 for 4.

Only bought a couple of things. I got a buddy of mine a part for his old ford ranger that he saw at a junkyard for like 200 bucks only 40

I've always bought stuff from Ebay and Amazon and I can't remember there being a problem in terms of safety.

Apart from one time, where a lot of people bought Gran Turismo 5, but didn't get it. However I got my money back.

In terms of descriptions, Amazon's kinda better, because you can check reviews etc.

Amazon is 10x safer then Ebay in my opinion, as amazon sells alot of stuff on their own or sell it on others behalf

The problem isn't safety. You'll get whatever you buy 100%, I've never had a problem in that department. However, the quality sometimes is facepalm worthy.
