He did get service, rewatch the game if you cant remember, however most of the time he got the ball it was intercepted by either Pepe or Ramos.

Nope. I'm just a bit mad and it's completely unrelated to Falcao.

Though I do think the sudden trend of thought that Falcao is the best striker in the world because of what he's done this season (having watched quite a few Atletico games recently) is to a large extent un-merited.

No it's not.... without him they wouldn't have anyway near 37 points.....

They are 6 points clear of you and he's the main reason for that.

I don't think he's the best striker that award goes to RVP or Ibra because of their overall game.

But he's definitely the best 9 and finisher in the game today.

They had a stacked team back then. Not saying he wasn't an important piece to that team of course but I mean come on.

Obviously a World Class player though. Phenomenal striker, just not in the Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta class.

Simeone is the main reason for that.

Their entire team from top to bottom is performing at a extremely high standard and with great consistency. He is their one consistent goal threat which pretty much instantly elevates him to being the most important player on the team, but the idea that he's somehow carrying them or that they would magically fall apart without him (despite them finding a way to win when he's not playing, or when he's playing poorly as he had been for a moth preceding this) is a bit annoying.

He's the best 9 in the world by a distance. Who's his competition? Gomez? Ba is probably in there at 2nd.
