On Saturday, October 20, Chelsea and bitter local rivals Tottenham will face off in what promises to be a delightfully contentious London derby. The match will take place in the latter's backyard, and is doubtless the pick of the bunch for PL Matchday 8.

Both sides will come into this knowing that a victory will make quite a statement to their rivals, as well as send out a resounding message as far as their respective ambitions are concerned. A win for Chelsea can point to nothing else than a strengthening case for the club's unexpected 2012-13 title challenge. While on the other hand, a win for Tottenham would be huge for the club as far as their Top 4 aspirations are concerned, and for Villas-Boas himself, who would doubtless revel in giddiness at the thought of beating his former side at first ask.

Both teams come into this match on the back of a six game (and in Chelsea's case, more) unbeaten streak. But while the very word 'unbeaten' sounds imposing, in Spurs' case, it's slightly less so. Their home form has been mediocre at best, with results at White Hart Lane up to this point including draws against West Brom (who probably should have won the match), Norwich (who are utterly woeful) and a lucky win after being outplayed by the equally woeful QPR and only attaining all 3 points from an unfortunate and freak own goal from Rangers' Alejandro Faurlin. Apart from that, the North London club can boast a win over Manchester United at Old Trafford 2 weeks ago.

I thought it was a pretty good preview till the last paragraphs. We didnt even have a full squad against West Brom though we were terrible against Norwich. We were much better against QPR in the second half once Bale was moved up the field.

Either way should be a great match

We beated Spurs and Arsenal while wearing all blue...maybe we should play in all blue against all of our London Rivals...i guess it would get tricky aginst QPR other than that i would love to see that.
